this ended up turning out a lot more gen than I wanted it to. rwby v1 rewrite, but it's not teams rwby & jnpr. the reason it's mostly-gen with hints at the ship is because it is JUST volume 1 (I was running out of time, but I wanted to get to more) and because Blake and Weiss's friendship took over the plot.
