I don't remember much of 2nd grade but I do remember quite vividly that my 2nd grade teacher once said "everyone is beautiful on the outside and ugly on the inside" I think she me t literally, like organs and blood and bones stuff but that's not something to tell 6-7 year old kids. Because when they are older they will be told "it's the beauty inside that counts"

My ass still thinks I can do college. Yeah, I can self study now, and yeah I’m comfortable with picking up information. I’m not in the same place or the same person anymore... But let me tell you, if my attendance and work ethic are anything like they were in highschool, hoo buddy... And my ass still thinks everything will be okay.

Once in highschool

My friend, who was on the grade below me, pulled me aside at lunch and she was really scared. She was shaking and everything I I asked what happened and she told me "I'm so scared. My stomach really hurts and I'm bleeding down there. I think I'm dying!" She was crying and clutching her stomach. So I took her to the toilets and explained that it was just her period and a normal bodily function in women. I gave her tampons, pads and pain relief and told her how to use them and exactly what was happening and why and how she can deal with it. She thanked me and asked a bunch of questions. She was never taught this school and her religious mother refused to discuss it with her. Sex ed is important. It's more than just sex/safe sex. It's about your body changes and everyone should have classes on it in school and parent you need to talk to your kids about it.
