I read somewhere that in one of the new Percy's books Hecate had a magic school a long time ago (idk if it's still a thing or not),so now I headcanon that Lou Ellen and all the other children of Hecate go to a magic school instead of a normal high school. Now,I know that most people will think magic school=Hogwarts but this is nothing like that.

We are talking of a school immersed in wild nature,with the structure a little off and strange with different types of shapes for each place and classes that there are. Some classes and hallways are up and down,in some others you have to walk on the walls to reach for a door,in others you have to literally run to get to an entrance that is always moving. Sometimes you will find yourself following lessons with stuff that even mortals learn,some other times they will try to teach you how to summon a familiar to pass an exam (Lou Ellen's is a snake). In some lessons they will teach how to make a potion with the correct ingredients,in others we have the teacher teaching how to draw a protection circle. The cafeteria always has flying tables so you have to walk on the walls to reach them,or fly/levitate to it (if you can,and no,we don't do brooms inside the school).

Imagine all types of chaos and weirdness you can think of and mix it together with magic,animals and a lot of children that can use magic. Oh,and Lou Ellen is in the middle of all of this so it's double the chaos.

Then she comes back to CHB for the holiday and Clovis,Nico,Will or someone she is close to asks how she is holding up at school. And Lou Ellen says the weirdest shit ever because she forgets that she is going to a magical school full of: her siblings,legacy of her mother,other apprentices that her mother has,people born with magic outside of the "mythology is real and I'm the proof of it" that are equally strange and weird.

Clovis: You didn't send me an Iris Message this week,how did school go? Everything's fine?

Lou Ellen: Oh yeah,it's fine. I just had a lot of homeworks to do.

Clovis: Really? I never thought you were the type to worry about it.

Lou Ellen: Oh I'm not,but it was escaping. I needed to sedate it otherwise the professor was going to gave me an F.

Clovis: What-

Lou Ellen: Oh you know how it is. One day your plushie is a plushie and the next it's a feral animal that you have to put down.

Clovis:.......ok-

Cecil: Hey Lou! How's going?

Lou Ellen: Everything's good,I'm just working on my school project.

Cecil: About what?

Lou Ellen: Nothing much,I just need to interview an ancient witch that got burned alive in 1340 because she got caught.

Cecil:.....Eh-?

Lou Ellen: I know,I know. I told the professor that I wanted to do the essay on the Lunar cycles but Carol already had that covered. So now I'm stuck with this,as if I already didn't know the story. Sorry– I need to go.

Cecil:....is she even sane at this point-

Lou Ellen: Will! Did you see my animal friend?

Will: You have a pet?

Lou Ellen: No,not "pet",but animal friend. Also,that was very uncalled for.

Will: I'm sorry-? What does your...animal friend looks like?

Lou Ellen: It's a very cute little baby,it should be around here,did you see it?

Will: Uhm,not really. What type of animal is it?

Lou Ellen: It's a purple snake. Her name is Bell.

Will: A purple snake...purple....How is that even possible?

Lou Ellen: Long short story,the ceremony got messed up and I sacrificed the wrong thing. Now Bell is purple instead of a normal snake-like color. I don't mind tho,she is more easy to find.

Will:

Lou Ellen: So...are you helping or-?

Lou Ellen: Hey Nico!

Nico: Lou. You need something?

Lou Ellen: Actually yeah...what do I do if I bring a toad back to life?

Nico: I– I'm sorry,what did you just say?

Lou Ellen: It was for an assignment. I messed up the wording and instead of turning it into a plant now it's dancing.

Nico: You have a dancing toad?

Lou Ellen: Multiple actually. It got friends.

Nico: I–...wasn't it only one toad?

Lou Ellen: It reproduced.

Nico: H O W ???

Lou Ellen: I told you I messed up the wording!

On a different note,now imagine Lou Ellen and Hazel as a classmates. Praying for Nico's mental stability and sanity (he already doesn't have any of it).

Rowling is bad at math. One school of magic in all of Asia? (with Koreans and Chinese hating Japanese and vice versa) and one magic school for Russia and neighboring countries? I live in a Russian village of 22 km² and we have 4 schools and a school for orphans and disabled (where I work) and it's a small village! One school of magic will not even accommodate half of Russia.

And not just that like, what happened with the USSR? Where were wizarding kids studying during that time? And after the fall of the? Are we seriously meant to believe that once the USSR collapsed, everyone just kept going to the same school like nothing happened? How does that make any sense?

And how the hell is there only ONE SINGLE DAMN SCHOOL for the entire African continent? Does Rowling have any idea how massive Africa is? How many countries there are? But it’s the same with Latin America like, the woman said all of Latin America goes to the same school, which just happens to be in Brazil? So every Spanish-speaking country sends its kids to study in Portuguese? How does that add up? And why on earth would Spaniards and Italians go to school in France?

I get that it’s lazy writing when it comes to worldbuilding, but some of this stuff is just geopolitically really problematic. It’s like the woman has zero understanding of history or politics, because honestly, it’s completely incoherent.
