Rehearsal Schedule This Week.

Damn I've been busy and absent. Just finished up exams and for the week we got off before second semester I was packed with work and rehearsals. Tuesday: 11:30-2:30 Wednesday: 11:30-4:30 Thursday: 11:30-2:30 Friday: 11:30-2:30 All in all 14 hours rehearsal. Sore but now that I'm home all I want to do is exercise. wtf body.

My day today:

6:30 am - Wake up.

7:15 am - Catch the bus.

7:40 am - Arrive at school.

8:20 am - School starts.

2:20 pm - School ends.

2:30 pm - Rehearsal starts.

4:30 pm - Rehearsal ends.

4:45 pm - Catch the bus.

5:45 pm - Arrive at work.

6:00 pm - Work starts.

9:30 pm - Work ends.

9:45 pm - Catch the bus.

10:00 pm - Arrive home.

Just under 15 hours out of the house. I just finished dinner. It's 10:40. I still have homework. Jesus Christ there's not enough time in one day.

Pronouns: Not that hard.

I'm a writing mentor to two grade 8 students at an elementary school a few blocks over and today the girl, we'll call her K, made the smoothest save.

K: *Accidentally messes up my pronouns.*

Me: *Shifts uncomfortably, not really up for bringing it up.*

K: *Notices* Oh, sorry. I meant he. I screw up pronouns all the time, you should have seen my brother's face the one time I referred to him as a girl. 

Me: *Laughs it off and nods.* K: *Goes back to original conversation like nothing happened.*

It is NOT that hard to correct yourself on pronouns without making someone feel like crap. It is NOT that hard to use someone's preferred pronouns.

I was awed and very proud to be working with that girl, she's thirteen and more respectful and understanding than a lot of adults I've had to explain things to.

My bus has students in arts majors from my school, and girls from an all girls high school on it. Today I was sitting and:

Girl A: People need to stop using fake words just to sound smart, it just makes them sound retarded.

Girl B: Yeah, like, is Dauntless even IN the dictionary yet?

Girl A: I wouldn't be surprised, since Divergent came out everyone's been using it.

Girl B: LAME.

You have to try to be successful at anything, except existing. It is your choice; whether you live, or whether you merely exist.

Today we started a Henri Matisse inspired, gouache-painted, still life project which emphasized discordant colours.

As part of the explanation, we were shown many of his paintings including 'Joy of Life':

My classmate, Felix, immediately points to the couple in the bottom right corner and jokingly asks, "What is that?" laughing all the while. Vero- the guy who sit's beside me -without missing a beat, looks up and replies, "Metamorphosis."

Felix: Y'know, the clock is kind of hot.

Jam: My brother cosplays the clock.

Felix: I'm gonna fuck the clock.

Jam: Don't fuck the clock.

Felix: I'm gonna fuck the clock.

People across the room: Don't fuck the clock.
