We are Flying Bison Studio
Carleton University's School of Information Technology is home to the Interactive Multimedia and Design (IMD) program. This program provides multidisciplinary education in conjunction with Algonquin College in diverse, yet connected, subject matter such as: computer animation and video effects, game design and development, virtual reality systems, graphic design, 3D visualization, human computer interaction (HCI), and electronic commerce.
Student's education focuses on the entire design process from initial concept all the way through to final realisation. The IMD program is aimed at students who have a potential for being artistically creative and technologically adept; students who have a keen interest in designing the next generation of multimedia rich applications and products.
Within the School of Information Technology, Flying Bison Studio is formed by six IMD students with the goal of creating a motion capture learning centre website that will allow other students and professionals alike to become familiar with, and use, an industry-standard motion capture system. The centre will walk through all of the necessary steps to guide the user through the motion capture system from initial calibration to final production. By April of 2013, the learning centre will be fully operational and accessible to everyone.
We welcome you all to follow along with us as we develop this project.
