Was thinking about char's counterattack, and the beam sabers in that movie just glow in their hilts until they're swung at an enemy or other beam saber at which point they flare out into a full blade.
And basically, that would be cool to see more of that imo.

Have things be like . . . beam or laser tipped.
Imagine if you will a chainsaw with beams emanating from the teeth, wouldn't that be sick awesome. Probably would not be good for cutting down trees but it'd probably break through armour good (while being very intimidating).
