god gave me sciatica pain at a young age because he would not have been able to stop me otherwise
so my sciatic nerve is acting up again :(
I remember the first time this happened to me. It happened once, and then it didn’t happen again for years. Randomly they started becoming more frequent, and I strain/flare up my sciatic nerve every couple of months now. The last time it happened, it was UNBEARABLE and I went to the ER. They billed me almost $1,000 (with my shitty insurance) and all they did was give me steroids that made my manic bipolar ass absolutely INSANE. All I did was put myself in debt, and miss work for over a week. So now I’m kind of just fighting through the pain because there’s literally nothing I can do, I guess? I don’t know anymore. I think it’s all stemming from my hip or my knee. My guess has always been my knee, since I took dance for most of my life, and also used to be a rebel tomboy who did stupid stuff when I was younger. I’ve been stretching. I’ve been resting. I tried being more active. It’s not going away or easing up this time, and it’s literally driving me insane. The pain shoots from my back, down the side of my leg, and then to my foot. Although, for some odd reason, I’ve been feeling it so much more in my shin/calf area and near my hip.
Sciatic Pain Is Not Just Leg Pain — It Starts in the Spine
Sharp or burning pain traveling from the lower back to the leg is often a sign of sciatic nerve compression. This condition usually originates from lumbar spine issues such as disc bulge or spinal nerve pressure. Ignoring sciatic pain can lead to long-term mobility problems.
Early spine diagnosis helps relieve nerve pressure and restore movement. Proper spine treatment improves walking comfort and prevents recurring pain.
