Marvel Comics' Midnight Universe Debuts Get New Launch Dates
The first three titles in Marvel Comics' Midnight Universe will now all release on October 7, 2026. The Midnight Universe kicks off with Midnight X-Men, Midnight Fantastic Four, and Midnight Spider-Man.
Midnight X-Men sees a New York City beset with vampires and mutant empires. "The sword of Damocles hangs over the peace between these two species and the factions within them. An outright war is brewing and the unturned will be caught in the crossfire." (Marvel Comics) The comic hails from writer Jonathan Hickman and artist Matteo Della Fonte. The debut cover is by Dike Ruan.
Midnight Fantastic Four watches as "an obsessive scientist delves into the secrets of the universe perhaps best left unknown to mankind, leaving himself and three others warped in strange and horrifying ways. What horrible secrets lie in the new dimensions they have discovered? And can humanity survive the discovery?" (Marvel Comics) The title hails from writer Benjamin Percy and artist and cover artist Kev Walker.
Midnight Spider-Man finds young Peter Parker "transformed into a hideous spider hybrid by the ruthless Oscorp Corporation in their pursuit for eternal life. When Oscorp begins to use the secrets unlocked by his mutation to create more human-animal hybrids, Peter embraces his grotesque new form to stop them." (Marvel Comics) The comic hails from writer Phillip Kennedy Johnson and artist Scietronc. The debut cover is by Steve Beach.
With the exception of debut titles, the main covers for Midnight Universe comics will be "Cloaked Covers," partially obscured with the full artwork revealed inside the comic.
