October 25th excerpt:

Jacob didn't notice right away that Sam had nodded off, gone to chase dreams in the pages of the book. After being scolded once for glancing over too much, he made a point to leave Sam be. He only thought to look over when he found a site that might be of interest, but that required a paid subscription to access. He was ready to ask Sam's opinion on it when he stopped.

For a moment, he thought Sam wasn't there. Then, tentatively, wary of more scolding, Jacob reached over to lift up the page that had fallen over a small shape.

A bemused smile ghosted across his face at what he found. Curled up in the middle of a book several times his weight, was Sam. His tiny face rested against the curve of the pages like it was a huge cushion. He looked exhausted.

If the blanket doesn’t respond to him it gets scolded.

I’m sure living with Dean has its ups and downs for Jacob, so he’s not constantly terrified of what Dean’s about to do. Just… most of the time?? ^^; Poor kid could use a long vacation back with Sammy.

We’re not sure when it’ll start but we’ve gotten a great reception with these excerpts so we’ll be sure to bump it up in the editing order to prepare it for the poll!

Dean could use a good scolding. We all know that Jacob is but a teddy!

Jacob deals with things in his own way. He aims to be chill most of the time, so even when he is freaking out, it can be hard to actually tell. Especially when he’s already so smol and Dean’s just kind of a hurricane that goes when he gets the idea to go somewhere.

So so many things would be cleared up if Jacob wasn’t afraid to just talk things out. ;w;
