OKAY THESE REQUIRE A BIT OF EXPLANATION BEAR WITH ME!
In the current asksds setting Madeleine is dating @scoochin's OC Brennyn (who I love), but Bren has a toxic aquaintance called Levi who I SUPER love because he's a garbage man who is manipulative and toxic and I adore him, and so recently scooch and I explored an AU of college age Madeleine meeting and dating Levi instead of Bren and how it'd play out, and I couldn't resist doodling things for it because it's very very fun.
Basically Maddie meets Levi, who is the hottest man on earth (imo at least) and a bad boy which is the exact type she likes, so she's swooning when he entertains her with a relationship. But she eventually realizes that he's actually not emotionally fullfilling as a partner at all + is a bad influence on her (see Image 1), and since she ends up hitting it off with Bren (who's in Levi's social circle and they hang out as a group together a bunch) she leaves Levi for Bren, which in turn makes Levi retaliate against Bren and his sister Andy. So Maddie, desperate to keep the peace, leaves Bren to go back to Levi to pacify him...but given that it was more out of necessity than want, she ends up having a secret affair with Bren (yes Maddie is the type of person to cheat), unaware that Levi gets it pretty immediately and likes to see her squirm trying to hide it (see Image 2). She does try asking Levi to forgive Bren for "stealing" her in the first place, and he says he'll try (like a liar), which her dumbass believes (see Image 3). Yet ultimately she struggles with with having to sacrifice her own life to keeping Levi happy, so once Bren and Andy cut ties with him she breaks up with Levi again to go back to Bren, to which Levi reacts badly and confronts her about her cheating which really makes her stumble. (see Image 4)
Because she's stupid, she seeks him out to get the closure he didn't give her, to which he says that she should kiss him to cheat on Bren to get even for cheating on him with Bren, and she ends up doing it and then feels incredibly stupid and embarrassed and finally realizes for good that she's simply unable to stand up to Levi in a meaningful way and all she can really do is not interact with him because if she does he WILL find a way to manipulate her and mess her up. (see Image 5)
