Clive, you’re a real one, but I highly doubt that’s gonna happen. Maybe a million years in the future when we finally stop giving a shit about each other, but for now, every time that little rat man sees me he’s gonna internally flip his shit and externally try to beat my shit. Hello friends. today is the summer solstice of 2019. which basically means it’s the longest day in summer. which means more hours of sunlight for me to bless your miserable eyes with.

coincidentally, today is also my best friend ever’s borthday. you know him. go wish him a happy birthday today. he’ll love it. i promise you. :^)

Let’s do this one last time.

We were actually pretty good friends before. You’ve probably heard this from him already. Yeah, here’s what happened.

I came into his town, Danvers, with only one thing in mind. Take control of this town the usual way, and leave. That’s it. Usually I just “befriend” someone I thought was good (not better than I was, but still okay), lug them around for a few towns and take over, and dump them when I find someone better. I’ve been doing it for so long, there’s probably been around 19 other people before him. Hell, I’ve been doing it for so long, pretending to be someone I’m not, I forgot who the hell I really was.

I got to town, already devoid of my last partner in crime since I kinda dumped them in order to go to this town fresh. This town was small. I should be fine.

Scoven was the lucky guy I picked out from the crowd. Why the hell I chose him out of all people is a mystery to me. At the time, he was just a wimpy anti-social bodyguard who was scared of his own fuckin’ job. He had no promising qualities whatsoever other than the fact he was pretty oblivious to the consequences of his actions. I guess I thought it’d be a good idea to mold this guy into someone who can actually do a good job helping me out. A serial killer. Maybe it was out of pity, I dunno.

Well, yeah, he hit it off good with me. Way more than I really expected him to. Usually the relationship I have with my work partners is just strictly just…work partners, y’know? But Scoven thought he was my friend. My best friend, even. And hell, I wasn’t going to let myself believe that was true. He was nothing to me but someone to use to get my win and throw away when I’m done.

But, uh… Sometimes I thought of him as a friend. Usually when I was blackout drunk or just baked off my shits, but it was enough to make me absolutely repulsed at this guy’s existence and how he was turning my entire plan against me and playing with my emotions instead.

Finally, when I got him to become a serial killer, it wasn’t anything too promising at first. He was kinda clumsy and messy with his kills, I had to get him out of trouble multiple times. It was like babysitting a murderer. And I was fine with it. He got kills, and as long as he was functional yet not better than me, it was fine!

But then we went to our next town. He’d learned since Danvers, listened to every god damned word I’ve told him about shutting off his emotions and seeing his victims as a statistic, nothing more.

Truth is….he was becoming better than me. And I was fuckin’ terrified. I made this thing. And truth be told, I was gonna kill him before he could kill me. I thought he was turning my plan against me, and for all I know he could’ve been. I wasn’t gonna let that scumbag kill me. So, instead of waiting for someone better to partner up with to come along, I decided to hold on until it seemed like a good time to kill him off. and then take out the garbage. I chose his birthday since hey, if it doesn’t work, he’ll shove off since I decided to trash him so badly on his special day, and he’d be expecting me to come over anyways. Ugh. Gross.

And then I did. I did as much as possible to make sure he died. But he fucking didn’t. He crawled out of there clinging onto that stupid bug of his— that thing freaks me out, how nasty. To make things worse, he crawled back to ME. He thought I was here to SAVE him.

At this point I just wanted to get rid of him and get it over with. He was threatening to me, he was making me feel a connection therefore ruining my plans, so I was gonna get him to shove off and skip town.

So I did. I made sure to do as much as possible to get him to not come crawling back a second time—I kicked him, threw his bug into the fire, spat on him. Sometimes I wonder if it was too much. But I felt powerful, and that’s all I really ever fuckin’ wanted.

But no. He came back. He followed me into the next town a few days or so later, and when I was out dousing, he knocked me out, took me out back, and, well…Gave me this neat scar.

I killed him because I was sick of him ruining my plans. I never wanted anything to do with him. He was supposed to be an expendable tool, but ended up turning the tables against me, whether it be willingly or not. I hate him so much.

I don’t do that stuff anymore since one, I don’t want that shit happening again, and two, there’s no use because my boyfriend’s a scary arsonist who’ll fuck you up if you mess with us. I’ve already got everything I want, other than Scoven dead.
