#throwbackthursday It’s ironic how you feel most alive when your heart skips a few beats. Back in 2013 I went to the mountains in the North of India and ended up going for a session of rafting. While I spoke to one of the locals about where I could go ahead and do it I was guided to go towards a small town called “Chilling”. While heading to the starting point we saw the gushing water. It was only after we hopped into the raft we realised how cold the water is and how bad the rapids were. That little experience I had in rafting went out of the window when we crossed first of the rapids. The second one was strong enough to throw me off the raft and into the water. The gushing water was strong enough to make me float way ahead of where the raft was. All thanks to the guy in the kayak who helped me reach back to the raft and my buddies to pull me back into it. On one of the routes riding through the road unknown we stopped over for a breather. It was an entrance to someone’s home. It was only after a while the owner of the property approached the same road on the tractor and asked us if we were searching for someone. Curious eyes saw the huge motorcycles while the words did the talking. After a brief interaction in the regional language he was happy to have us at the entrance to his property. One of those places where you can hear silence. A short ride on the beach isn’t a bad idea only if you sure to clean the sand which is glued to your drive chain. This is the only road which leads to the neighbouring village. High tides would mean the village is cut off till the time the sand is visible again.
