"Welcome back to freshman year losers," the AP biology teacher greets. Sadly, I still don't know his name. "You have about four more weeks to complete this project now. Since you've had three months or so to work on it, I better have my mind blown," he instructs. "It sounds like you need something else of yours blown," Philip mutters under his breath. "I assure you random student, I am happily ace and STI free, thank you very much," the teacher eloquently says. "Anyways," He goes on "You guys pretty much have free periods for the next weeks of this project, so use them wisely!" Lachlan and I share a glance. "Be free!" Mr.Teacher flaps his arms wildly. Despite me not knowing his name, I like him. I walk up to Lachlan as he packs his binder together. "Where to, Columbus?" He asks. "I don't know maybe we'll find Jaws and he'll show us the way," I slyly smirk. "Asshole," Lachlan lightly punches my arm. I laugh "Sorry, had to sneak one in there." The taller of us just rolls his eyes. "Computer lab?" We walk out of the class. "Sounds like a plan," I nod. Down the hallway, I see Noelle and Jason holding hands. As they walk, they swing their arms. A blush rises to my cheeks. If I could do that with Lachlan... "Oh yeah, I forgot to thank you!" I exclaim. He gives me a puzzled look. "What're ya talking about?" Those eyes full of wonder make my heart swell. Dear lord, I'm becoming a poet. "How did you know I liked Totoro?" I raise an eyebrow. He puts a finger to his lips and winks. That's hot. "A great magician never tells his secrets," he says huskily. "Or they're really creepy and stalkerish," I scoff "Either way, I really like my present." Lachlan's eyes brighten. "R-really!?" He seems genuinely surprised. "Yeah man. I should probably give you something too," I chuckle nervously. "A good grade on this project would be preferable," the conversation ends there. Everything seems like it's out to make me a fool. And trust me, that's the last thing I want. Lachlan says something to himself and starts snorting. "You good?" A smile creeps onto my face. Lachlan trips and bumps into the wall dropping his books. "Shit," he curses. His face is bright pink. I fight to hold back my hysteria. "Are you alright Lachlan?" Snickers slip out every now and then. He nods and smiles. "I was just thinking that a D would be pretty good," he mutters. He thinks I didn't hear it. "D's are nice in their own special way," I elbow him in the side. His blush turns darker. We both laugh as we walk into the computer lab together.
