SOMEONE DIES IN THIS ELEVATOR: MORGE
My horror anthology entry is now available anywhere you listen to podcasts! NOTE THE WARNINGS!
This episode reflects what it was like to live under the violent Duterte government where police murdered civilians every other day, including kids. They were colloquially called EJK or extrajudicial killings. While this is a work of fiction, there are facts spread throughout, like the youngest victim being 3 years old.
Filipina immigrant "Interpreter" describes her time assisting at a hospital morgue during the violent Duterte era, and her ghostly encounters with the victims of EJK (extrajudicial killings). This episode of Someone Dies In This Elevator is rated R. Morge contains murder, corpses, child death, hospital horror, police brutality, fascism, minor alcoholism, mentions of matricide and patricide, and death in an elevator.
Also there's a Catholic priest in there, but he's just in the intro.
If you want more context as to the characters in this story, you can listen to my previous anthology entry, "HEAVY FLOW" from last year's Nine To Midnight anthology.
But you don't need to listen to that one to understand this one!
They met where the two elevators stopped next to each other, a perfectly hidden spot for a perfectly secret deal. But when things went sour, it would not turn out to be a perfectly fine place to hide the body.
Check out this week’s @sditepod episode written by our own @patchpane !
👀 secret project? Secret project!
Two episodes from us this season!
The bank heist was going as planned until it came time to make their exit. The stairs were blocked, and the last-minute shift to using the elevator was where everything went wrong.
