Hello, hi. Been a while, huh? Huh? I know, I know. Allow me to just casually start explaining how the Dead and Seers are interconnected.
Seers are typically humans or monsters with mighty SOULs that can predict someone's future with a single touch. They are few and far between, but they do appear to have a form of clock on their skin as a tattoo, birthmark, etc. that appears to match the magic type/SOUL of the Seer. Most of the time, seers succumb to their visions and lose their minds, as well as their own souls.
An example of this is Desdemona, a long-known Seer, who went insane as a result of the rage, pain, and rising terror of her visions. After seeing the death of her infant son, who appeared to be five at the time in the vision, she lost her mind and slaughtered anybody she saw who represented even a single threat to him in order to protect him. This would subsequently lead to her killing the King when he paid a visit to their home. She would later be beheaded after repeating the names of everyone she killed. Her son would never recover from this, dying at the age of 20 from unknown causes.
But writer, I hear you ask, why would that matter in a relation to Seers and the Dead? Well, my dear reader, allow me to get to that.
Most people believe that Seers lose their minds solely as a result of their visions; however, it has been demonstrated that SOULS of the dead they have seen and failed to save may begin to haunt the Seer to the point of causing extreme panic attacks and physical damage, even death, in a desperate attempt to reach their SOUL. However, this seems to only effect those who can see ghosts.
According to legend, a Seer's SOUL has the power to resurrect thousands of the dead. So the dead seek out Seers in order to be brought back to life after death. It is unknown whether this is true.
