in an ideal world, how would eve's life look like ?

it would be peaceful and it would be simple, but that probably doesn’t come as a surprise. picture the ending scene of any stereotypical cookie cutter romance or feel good family movie: that’s what eve wants.
with things the way they are now, there is an ideal future that eve desires. the first facet of her dream is a stable career, typically something in the childcare field. sometimes she imagines herself opening a daycare of her own or being a school teacher, though usually she settles for the former due to her own lack of schooling. it’d be the kind of place where the children she looked after were like her own children and cried every day when they had to go home; their parents would have to pry them off of her. they’d apologize every time, but eve really wouldn’t mind it. she’d have a little plot of land in the back for a garden and they’d all get to plant something and look after it every day. admittedly, she’d have to work on her own gardening skills first. once every season she’d take them on a field trip to the zoo and she’d memorize a slew of facts about all the animals to share with them each time.
once all was said and done and all the children went home for the day she’d walk home; driving doesn’t really appeal to her, but maybe getting a bike with a little basket on the front would be nice. she’d live somewhere by the water so that she could stare at the sunset’s reflection on its surface every day. it would be the kind of sight she’d never get sick of. sometimes theodore would come and pick her up and they could walk together, but he’d be too busy to do that every day. while she does love the city she’d prefer to live in a smaller town: the kind of place where everyone knows each other. there’d be a local food stand on the way home and she’d get something from it every day. she’d be such a frequent customer that sometimes they’d give her food for free, despite how opposed she was to that.
it’d be a long enough walk to allow her to enjoy it, but not so long that it wore her out. eventually she’d arrive home to a house of her own with just enough privacy, but friendly neighbors within walking distance. a two-story home painted pastel yellow, the home would have a simple wooden front porch with enough space for a table to have lunch at on a nice day as well as a matching fence around the perimeter of the property. maybe she’d plant sunflowers near the fence, but there would definitely be flowers.
sometimes in her fantasy it’s a house she shares with theodore, but sometimes she shares it with a partner instead. her brother would be incredibly successful and would have a place of his own if he was old enough, though she knows he wouldn’t abandon her to live in a house by herself. she hates the idea of holding him down, so most of the time in her dream she lives with a lover and theodore lives nearby. he visits whenever he has time and sometimes she goes to visit him.
after a long day she’d come home to her lover making dinner ( cooking still really isn’t her forte ) or they’d still be at work and she’d take a bath instead, waiting for them to come home. sometimes they’ll cook dinner together, even if she isn’t much help, and sometimes they’ll just order in. sometimes she’ll wait for them and they’d take a bath together. it’ll be a healthy balance and the frozen pizza in the freezer would be reserved mostly for movie nights and lazy days in. they’d both talk about their days and enjoy each others company until eventually settling into bed to sleep, completely physically entwined with peaceful dreams soon to follow.
on their days off they’d typically go out and every day would be an adventure, but they’d have a few favorite places that they’d tend to frequent more than others. maybe they’d have kids someday, but that seems like the most unrealistic part of her dream so she doesn’t imagine it much. every couple of months they’d set aside a whole week to go on a vacation, even if it wasn’t somewhere very far. they’d have things they like to do together, but also plenty of separate interests. ideally they’d spend all of their time together, but eve knows it’d be more healthy for them to both have separate friends that they occasionally go out to spend time with instead.
simple and warm, with everything in tones of yellows, pinks, blues, and greens. it’s a very nice dream, no matter how unreachable.
