I wanna a silly AU where Percy for whatever reason gives a ride to Poseidon — and Poseidon is almost skittish to get into the car, bc many many years ago he happened to get a ride from Sally. An "I Seem Sane But Then Show My True Colours On The Road" Sally Jackson that is. And Poseidon knows Percy takes after Sally a lot, so he genuinely doesn't know what to expect.

He relaxes soon, bc Percy turns out a careful and smooth driver. But then he gets other reasons to worry, bc somehow they get chased by both mosters and police at the same time.

Percy Jackson is many things: part god, part human, Hero of Olympus, Savior of the Gods, Annabeth Chase's boyfriend, Sally Jackson's son. He is also, whether he likes it or not, part of the Royal Family of Atlantis. Because Poseidon is in charge and if he says Percy's a prince, the rest of the court has to agree. They don't necessarily need to like it. And neither does Percy.

Poseidon was often called the father of monsters and even when he loathed to admit it, the name was apt. So when Perseus was born, Poseidon was prepared for the worst, another head, three times too many fingers, whatever it was, he would love it and try to protect it. Imagine his surprise when somehow, Percy came out with ten fingers and ten toes, perfectly normal looking and with a powerful lung. Of course, he’d had demigod children in the past, but it didn’t happen often for him to be graced with a real child. Who could then blame him, when he watched Perseus closely growing up, chest swollen with pride because he was perfect? Perfect like Triton, his heir, and so funny. It felt only natural to claim Perseus as his, the first opportunity he got, he was so proud to be able to present such a courageous and normal child.

Not to mention that his father would probably see this as an opportunity to convince him to stay, this time for good. _______________________________________________________ This story is an exercice, I'll post one chapter per day through the year ! A few warnings before you read, I'm mainly basing this on the timeline of the books, not the series. Because of this, Percy is now legal, Annabeth is working on architectural plans for Olympus, and I intended to focus on the undersea family. There is absolutely no Annabeth bashing in this story !
