If you'll excuse me I'll be sitting on the scaffolding outside my window watching the seagull chicks on the roof across the road for the next 2-4 business weeks
Look at the little birdie-floofs. I did not know seagull chicks were speckled.
Western Seagull (Larus occidentalis)
We have a seagull-couple living on the roof across from our house. They now have 2 little chicks, which hatched only a few days ago. One of them has already fallen off the roof and is in our garden, SINCE EARLY THIS MORNING, and the parents are swooping at anyone who comes “too close”.
“Too close” seems to be anything from 5 feet to 40 meters, as they both flew up and swooped at me when I came back home today, and I hadn’t even entered the garden yet, but when I left in the morning I was literally not more than 5 feet away from the chick and they didn’t give a shit, they jsut flew in circles over me. Could be they didn’t care because I wasn’t walking TOWARDS the chick then.
Fucking seagulls.
