Swimming in the ocean, oh how lovely it be

Feeling the warm, and cool water too

My fins feel so fluid, just like a gypsy

Oh, to be a gilled thing in the blue

My scales are so nice, they keep me safe

Or blubber, or fur, anything feels right

Whatever I have, at least it doesn’t chafe

And wherever I journey to, there’s always water in sight

The deep blue sea

The bright shallow shores

The dark cave anemone

The ominous low roars

All these things feel like home to me

Anywhere but here, is where I belong

But the ocean, oh where I wish to flee

That is where, I hear my song
