In my “darkness/light” playlist that i have (where dark heavy music is balanced with lighter music) i always turn on the “enhance” option where Spotify fills in 100 tracks. That way I discovered this german band called Der Weg Einer Freiheit (the road of freedom). Noktvrn has really blown me away and is already in my top 50 of favourite albums of all time. The way #derwegeinerfreiheit combine the other darkness and pain of #blackmetal and combine it moody, atmospheric, sonic landscapes that totally balance out the heaviness of the fast #blackmetalmusic parts. It has a slight #postrock feeling too, but the whole album is a journey you have to experience. The band described this album as the state where you’re right in between being awake and asleep. Called hypnagogia. And I couldn’t describe it better.
