New Trek writers: we're bringing back the Torment Nexus from the fan favorite classic Trek episode "Don't Create the Torment Nexus" in a new movie called "The Torment Nexus is Totally Awesome" starring Michelle Yeoh.

Episode forty three, Section 31. It's them! It's Dasira! I originally didn't care much for Basira specifically, but honestly I think hearing her voice actor, Frank Voss, as Ashes O'Reilly made me like her a lot more, and also I missed most of her character by playing Baldur's Gate 3 while listening to most of season two 😭 not an idea I recommend

Have we noticed that the two main security officers in Sloan’s simulation are these two

And as soon as the simulation ends they’re replaced by these two beefy white boys?

Are the black guy and the woman not real? Why didn’t they use the real agents in the simulation? They have to be saying something with this right? Because on a Doyleist level, I don’t know why they would bother hiring two entirely new guys just for this scene.

I think the human centric, Earth-supremacy undertones of section 31 have already been discussed somewhere and I do think that is meant to be the takeaway, but do we think they’re using fascy white supremacist visual shorthand to convey that without having to say it?
