It this is too personal, please feel free to ignore, but what does being sectioned mean

Being sectioned under the mental health act essentially means that I was deemed incapable of making choices that were safe, so I was forcibly detained in a hospital for inpatient treatment until they assessed me to be in a position to not put myself or anyone else at risk.. 

I hope that makes sense!
