It's been a while since I've posted an imageboard during the development for my graphic novel, Part Time Shuffle but today I'm posting a piece I've wanted to post for awhile. Its the debut of not only another imageboard but a new colorist on board for Part Time Shuffle, Leonardo Bruno aka "Kanta-Kun".
You may still see Jessie Lam's amazing color work in Part Time Shuffle in the future as well. She's just handling some super secret awesome stuff for some upcoming projects (Checkout her Tumblr, and DA she draws, paints, concepts like a boss)!
The concept here is from a potential ending theme for Part Time Shuffle with the embodiment the photography work seen on the incredible music label, Majestic Casual. This illustration in final concept was greatly influenced by the Philadelphia based sedative-wave/smooth-fi ensemble, Work Drugs specifically their song, "Boogie Lights".
Concept was to take a screencap of a theoretical end theme from PTS if it were animated it create an illustration that embodied the feel and visual aesthetic of the show and reinforced potential lyrics from the end theme.Kind of like an image you'd see in a Newtype Magazine. I really love Boogie Lights so I was heavily inspired by it. Hopefully, they'd want to work with me :)
