Future Witch seeking help
Hi.
Oh, gosh I didn’t think I would do this. So, I have been recently drawn to the idea of being/becoming a witch. I did the whole cliché thing of always being a witch for Halloween and while I’ve always been drawn to the idea, I never explored it.
I have lived my life very basically and always trying to find some meaning. But having kept thinking of it and on it, and getting tailored ads for all things aesthetically witchy (which I’ve never googled or spoken of until now) I reflected upon myself.
My grandmother told me recently that I was born with a gift that the females from her family have always had: the knowing. And it’s true. I have always been able to tell what people are feeling or hiding or what will happen or what needs to be said/heard. This feeling has never been wrong.
Now I understand how irrational it may sound: me thinking I’m gifted by reading people. And I agree, a lot of what I do is read really, really well. But it goes beyond that. I feel things at points: things I can’t explain. I know it sounds crazy but it’s my truth.
The idea of taking control of my life through my own power is exciting to me. I want to grow my gift of “The Knowing” and I want to use it for others. I want to live a natural and exciting life.
But I need help. This is not me trying to hop on a trend or a phase, I really think this is something I should be pursuing: it feels right. So if anyone has any advice on where to start: books, spells, trinkets, tools, stones, mindsets, etc., I would so gratefully appreciate it. I wish to learn and find a part of myself I have been searching for.
