just saw that a tv channel in CN released a news report on the KoD's false advertising. I'm glad to see xavier girlies didn't give up and they will keep fighting for their rights as consumers.

the TV channel even interviewed a lawyer about consumer rights for digital products! that was really cool.

I feel bad that CN girlies spent so much money to put lads in first place during KoD release to then get this nerfed glitched companion.

Xavier's lore mentioned in this card:

MC's name is the same name she had in the past. (idk if they implied this somewhere else, but it's the first time I remember reading it, so to me, it's new info lmao)

the island they went to belonged to Xavier's former backtracker colleague Hal.

Hal left a diary about their journey as backtrackers.

it is not confirmed if Hal is dead or if he traveled to another country/planet. And if he is still on Earth, maybe he just don't wanna be found. Who knows...

Hal contacted Xavier and Jeremiah in the past to know if they were still alive.

Hal seemed to have a good relationship with Xavier as Backtrackers' colleagues. He also seemed to respect Xavier as a captain. Hal described Xavier in his diary as a calm leader.

There was a space-time rift in the island area in the past and the backtrackers went there because they thought they could use the rift - like a deepspace tunnel - to go back home. It didn't work because the rift disappeared too fast. Then, they got stuck there due to a protofield storm.

when the weather improved, some backtrackers decided to leave the group. Hal was among them.

Xavier tossed a coin to decide the fate of the rest of the crew who didn't want to leave, but he said most of them already knew what they wanted. He was not mad with those who wanted to leave.

My opinion about the card:

It was fun and also sad.

I laughed so hard during the kindled and the part we found out MC took pics of Xavier's abs. I don't blame her, I'd do the same. But as I'm also a sucker for his biceps, I think she should have took some pics of them too. it's the right thing to do 🤭

The water gun fight was amazing. MC hates loosing and Xavier also took it serious. Their relationship is so wholesome. I'm happy with xavier's MC personality so far.

But the last part was sad and I got worried. Once again they talked about stars, the vast universe and when they were watching the stars and constellations, MC asked Xavier if him as a star would leave someday.

Not the first time they have this convo. I can't remember the other card she asked him this same question. Although Xavier said he found his place, it just seems a foreshadowing for the main story. I think we'll loose our star 😭

And another heartbroken moment was she saying xavier always let people choose their own paths without expecting or asking them to follow him. When she said that very few walk alongside him it hurt so baddd. I just wanted to cry.

But lets end this post on a good note heheh

there are two 'fixes' regarding KoD, but no major changes like his trash HP and the fake advertising regarding skill descriptions that do not match in-game combat.

xavier girlies will do some tests after this update, but it is very likely xavier is still nerfed and they may be doing this just to pretend they listened to us so you guys can keep spending money on lads, especially because xavier's bday is coming up.

I will not fall for this. Fix KoD mechanics and apologize!!!
