He’s extremely awkward in the beginning while he’s first trying to be comforting. This isn’t something he thinks he’s necessarily good at simply because it’s not usually what’s needed of him. Even though he has a big heart, he doesn’t think he has enough practice to be the calming presence he wants to be for you. Where is he supposed to put his hands? Would it be insensitive to kiss you while you’re upset? Maybe he should ask what you need or want instead of just assuming? He worries too much about everything, but he’ll find his rhythm with this soon enough.
A big way he tries to be comforting is to just slowly take your hand. It’s kind of like he’s testing the waters, seeing how much physical contact you can tolerate while you’re not doing so well. He’s all too happy to lean into touching more if that’s what you want — however, he also will back off if you don’t want to be touched a lot. If you don’t mind him holding your hand, he… not quite fidgets, just moves a little bit every so often. He rubs his thumb over the back of your hand, or gives little reassuring squeezes. It’s okay, even if it’s not okay. He’s still here for you, no matter what.
Only if you’d be up for it, he’ll do cuddle sessions on the couch with his dog. Perhaps not unsurprisingly, the dog really likes you, so as long as you’re good with it, Sekijiro brings him over so he can hold you close with the dog lying over both of your laps. (The dog is pretty lazy outside of walkies, but he does like to lick your hand, so…)
You don’t even have to ask him to bring you things like your favorite drinks or snacks. He just kind of does it without any prompting, in the hopes that it might make you feel better. He may even take it a step further and surprise you with your favorite dinner, whether it’s something from takeout or something homemade. Favorite show or movie too, maybe? Whatever he can think of that might ease your pain even a little bit, he’s going to try it.
Tells you often how incredible you are and how much he loves you, even if he doesn’t know how to say it in a variety of different ways, even if you don’t always believe it right in that moment. He’s gonna say it as many times as he has to for it to sink in. He adores you and he’s not going to go a single day without making sure you know that.
Even though he thinks he’s not good at saying the right things or stuff like that, you’ll never, ever have to doubt that he’s here for you. He is an incredibly supportive guy who cares about you with his whole heart, and at the end of the day, it’s less about saying the right thing and more about doing the right thing. Which, for what it’s worth, is what he almost always manages to do. Whatever else happens, however you feel, he’s going to be there beside you. Everything you face is something you’ll get through together, and he’s determined that he’s going to make certain that you come out on the other side in one piece.
He can be funny about it, and makes you laugh at the most unexpected times. “Listen, you better get used to looking at this ugly mug, because I’m not going anywhere.” He really doesn’t know how good-looking he is, but those kinds of comments are so blunt and out of the blue, you just have to giggle at them. If he can get you to smile even with the stupidest comment, it’s a win in his book.
Sekijiro Kan or Pro Hero Vlad King. I think he’s actually quite cute, he kinda reminds me of those English Bulldogs. His quirk allows him to use his blood as a weapon, he can also harden it at will as well as pull it back into his body. ● Will, undoubtedly, take you and hide you in his house for months without end.
● Likes to leave little love bites with his sharp teeth, all along your neck and sides.
● Has a hard time tell you he loves you, but just know, that he will do anything for you.
● Will never make you do something you’re uncomfortable with but will make light threats to encourage you to do what he wants, “If you don’t it’s fine… But I will have to take your food away from the next day or so.”
● Would rather himself be happy than you.
● Looks angry but is calm, kinda takes that to his advantage into scaring you.
● “You mean the world to me, but I won’t hesitate, sweetheart, just remember that.”
● LOVES to pin you to the floor, towering over you.
● Browny points if you play with his hair.
● Prefers to not snuggle, but will gladly make out with you.
● Would love nothing more than to use his quirk on you. If anything, he waits for you to try to escape so he can.
