Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut I though imma do it myself as well so here I am...... interviewing myself...

Part One: The Basics

1. What is your name? ans: Hi!! My online name is Rosaline Wood. I'm called Rose/Rosie by my friends. My original name is a secret on the internet for obvious reasons but I luv it a lot too.

2. Do you have any nicknames? If you do, who gave it to you and why? ans: Oh yes!! I have A LOT of nicknames. So many that if I start counting them all today, we're gonna have to sit here for eternity. The most important one is 'Mamo' which I am called by my parents, uncle and maternal grandmother. It doesn't have any particular meaning or significance to it, but I don't really mind that cuz since it's mt name now- it means it has become important to us!! Othe nicknames include Doll (paternal grandmother), Angel(Aunt), Bu(paternal grandfather). I'm not gonna tell yall what my maternal grandfather calls me- it's toooo embarrassing. I have quite a lot of nicknames at school as well- I'll not reveal my fav and the most popular 3 since those can reveal my real name. Next comes a nickname in my mother tongue which literally translates to 'the owner of the smelly pens'. I got this nickname since I always use a certain type of cheap pen with excellent ink flow which exudes a very beautiful scent from it (I am acc not being sarcastic) and it can fill up the whole room with it's scent. Every time someone opens my notebook's- they get jump scared by the fragrance in the air suddenly evading their noses. I'm also called Peppa Pig cuz I'm cute just like her (and no the origin of the name wasn't for those reasons), 'Minecraft witch' cuz of the shape of my nose(it's not meant in a rude way) and 'Cat' in one of the main native languages of my country since I've been obsessed with cats and 'Meowing' since I was young.

3. How old are you now? ans: Again for privacy reasons- I'll have to give a vague answer. My age is somewhere between 13-17.

4. When were you born? ans: Unfortunately I'm paranoid of sharing my date of birth online sooooooooo I'll just drop the hints when it's my birthday.

5. Where do you call home now? ans: I am very conflicted upon this question. Recently (for the past year) I've been feeling I really can't call my house my home anymore. I mean home is anywhere where you're comfortable and happy right? I guess I'm yet to find such a place. But if I had to anwer I'd say my home is in writing, reading, Ao3, with my friends and at certain time with my parents as well. Wherever they are- it's my home.

6. To what social class do you belong? ans: Middle class

7. What is your eye color? ans: Dark brown

8. What is your hair color? ans: Reddish brown

9. Do you have any distinguishing facial features? ans: My nose is often described as a 'parrot's beak'.

10. Do you have any birthmarks? Where are they? ans: I have 2 holes on my nose- one on the tip and one on the middle of the septum. I probably have other birthmarks as well but they aren't as distinguishable or important as this one.

11. Do you have any scars? How did you get them? ans: I do have some scars here and there due to insertion of the IV channel in the hospital, a test which required the poking of my lower back to take out a small sample of my bone marrow (that was extremely traumatizing for me), that one time in 3rd grade I got pencil lead into my palm and never got it out, stretchmark scars, that one time I thought pulling a rubber band with all of my force on my wrist would be fun(it was). None of them are really major.

12. Do you have any tattoos or other markings? How and why did you get them? ans: I don't really have tattoos rn but I really want to have 2 of them once I grow up into the legal age. I have no concrete plans as to what they're gonna be- but I'll go with the flow and just enjoy it!!

13. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses? ans: I have generalized seasonal allergy- it isn't induced by anything in particular but just shows up randomly once in a while to bother me (without any particular pattern as well). I don't have any terminal diseases except for Myopia. I have an immune system worthy for hell and I'll just leave it at that.

14. Are you right or left handed? ans: Right-handed.

15. What does your voice sound like? ans: I have absolutely NO idea. But if I HAD to describe it- I'd call it soothing but high pitched.

16. How do you dress most of the time? ans: At home I mostly dress in my shorts and tops which can range from tanks to tees. Outside, I mostly wear skirts and dresses cuz honestly I'm not all that comfortable with wearing pants (due to some issues and insecurities.

17. How do you dress up? ans: Wearing tight stylish dresses ig. Not that I'm uncomfortable in them (if anything those increase my morale).

18. How do you dress down? ans: Wearing baggy clothes (these don't do shit for my mind)l

19. What do you wear when you go to sleep? ans: The same things I wear at home all the time. Anything more and I might just melt in the heat here.

20. Do you wear any jewelry? ans: I wear a silver bracelet on my left hand. The bracelet has been gold-plated and we can open the top of it for it's removal.

21. What words and/or phrases do you use frequently? ans: Fuck, Shit, Hmm??

22. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics? ans: I dunno. It's honestly not in me to observe myself so meticulously. I have been described as 'quirky' for quite a while now.

I bit my lips a lot and my hand reaches my wrist naturally more often than not. Annoying habbits might include I talk a LOT and it's mostly bout myself. My voice gets loud as well soooo. My defining characteristics are all over the place so I'll let whoever is reading this decide it for me themselves (do comment it below, I wanna know it too.

23. Do you have any bad habits? If so, what are they and how do you plan to get rid of them? ans: I do have a LOT o bad habits, but two of them stands out the most- 'Procrastination' and flucuatingly low levels of 'Concentration'. I don't really have any plan to get rid of it but I'm working hard to get it out of my life.

24. Do you have a lifelong dream or aspiration? ans: My lifelong dream and aspirations include being free (no I'm not a slave), roaming across the world, spending a lot of time in Japan, not being lonely, being successful, writing, reading, being famous, watching and reading more anime and manga, getting teleported to the Haikyuu universe (??), being someone who brought more change in the world than a small pebble across the roadside.

25. Do you own a car (or other form of transportation)? Why or why not? Describe it. ans: Yes, I do own a car which I obviously share with the rest of my family (I'm yet to be of legal age). It's a Grey SUV with a sun-roof!!. We also own a black normal bike. As for why we own them... for better means of transportation??

26. What is your current state of mind? ans: My current state of mind is very messy. Trying to explain it would be like attempting to write a novel.

Fic Writer Interview

Fandoms: Primarily Sherlock, but I have also written Doctor Who/Torchwood, Sandman, Dexter, Raffles, Don’t Trust the B---- in Apartment 23, Maurice, Versailles, and Black Sails. (including crossovers/fusions of some of the above)

Where you post: Only on the AO3. I have been a fangirl of various sorts for a very long time, but there was a 20 year span where I had nothing at all to do with fanfic. By the time I came back to it, the AO3 was the only game in town, and I am NOT complaining. If I had posted work elsewhere that was lost, I’d be devastated.

Most Popular One-shot: The Imposter. I could have guessed that but I did actually check the stats. I have often said, and stand by, that if that story is my legacy in the Sherlock fandom, I’m perfectly content with that.

Most Popular Multichap: Boyfriend Material.

Favorite story you’ve written so far: Well. If I have to pick one??? I always say Dissolution: Our Plague Days. It is my special baby. BUT. I have two runners-up for favourites, which are Precipice, and Overwhelm.

Fic you were nervous to post: Maybe the first one, a little? I have too healthy an ego to ever be nervous about sharing my work. I love sharing it!

How do you choose your titles: Usually I choose the title at or near the end of writing--often a phrase from the story itself--except in the case of long/multichaptered fics that need a title before I start posting, in which case I tend to fall back on things like song titles (Know You All Over Again), theme-related phrases (Boyfriend Material, The Jewel in the Tower), or related quotes (The Doubtful Comforts of Human Love).

Do you outline: I do now, for multichaptered fics. They’re not ABC/123 outlines, though, they’re more like a film treatment.

Coming soon/not yet started: I have a couple of ideas, but nothing significant because my two WIPs weigh VERY heavily upon me and I can’t begin to think of writing anything long or complex before those are finished. That said, I would love to write more Black Sails fic, only so I can arrange Flint and Billy Bones into about 69 (ha!) more positions. A third installment of the Boyfriend Material hockey AU is not entirely out of the question. 2021, beginning, oh, two weeks ago, is going to be The Year I Write And Publish Novels Full-Time, so we shall see what comes of it. Fic will always, always be my favourite, but it does not pay my bills. A trilogy of monsterfucker novels could. Or a series of gay pirate romances. Knowimsayin?

Self-Interview: Personas

One question I’ve been asked several times by other designers is whether or not I use personas. I don’t.

Personas are a tool used to help identify who your users are and communicate that to your team. When done correctly, the process through which a team performs user research, analyzes the information, and creates the personas is more important than the artifact. The persona is documentation of what the team has learned.

I work in enterprise, so my users are typically defined by their roles. I’m designing for engineers, technicians, soldiers, sailors, or technical authors. I’m not concerned with the makeup of their families, the cars they drive, the personal devices they own, or their hobbies. Everything I need to know about these users is encapsulated by their roles.

So, I research each role. I learn about their responsibilities, processes, tools, schedules, and environments. I write scenarios to document and validate my understanding.

So, yes, I still perform user research and document my findings, but I don’t build personas. I don’t need to.

I think the interview is the new art form. I think the self-interview is the essence of creativity. Asking yourself questions and trying to find answers. The writer is just answering a series of unuttered questions. It's similar to answering questions on a witness stand. It's that strange area where you try and pin down something that happened in the past and try honestly to remember what you were trying to do. It's a crucial mental excercise. An interview will often give you a chance to confront your mind with questions, which to me is what art is all about. An interview also gives you the chance to try and eliminate all of those space fillers. . . you should try to be explicit, acurate to the point. . . no bullshit. The interview form has antecedents in the confession box, debating and cross-examination. Once you say something, you can't really retract it. It's too late. It's a very existential moment. I'm kind of hooked to the game of art and literature; my heroes are artists and writers. I always wanted to write, but I always figured it'd be no good unless somehow the hand just took the pen and started moving without me really having anything to do with it. Like automatic writing. But it just never happened. I wrote a few poems, of course. I think around the fifth or sixth grade I wrote a poem called "The Pony Express." That was the first I can remember. It was one of those ballad-type poems. I never could get it together though. "Horse Latitudes" I wrote when I was in high school. I kept alot of notebooks through highschool and college, and then when I left school, for some dumb reason- maybe it was wise- I threw them all away. . . I wrote in those books night after night. But maybe if I'd never thrown them away, I'd never have written anything original- because they were mainly accumulations of things that I'd read or heard, like quotes from books. I think if I'd never gotten rid of them I'd never be free. Listen, real poetry doesn't say anything, it just ticks off the possibilities. Opens all doors. You can walk through anyone that suits you. . . . and that's why poetry appeals to me so much- because it's so eternal. As long as there are people, they can remember words and combonations of words. Nothing else can survive a holocaust but poetry and songs. No one can remember an entire novel. No one can describe a film, a piece of sculpture, a painting, but so long as there are human beings, songs and poetry can continue. If my poetry aims to achieve anything, it's to deliver people from the limited ways in which they see and feel.
