It's okay to be a little bit proud.
I usually am quite self-deprecating about my writing, I find it hard to sincerely accept positive comments. My immediate reaction is to deflect and redirect sunshine to someone else. I am trying to get better at being proud of something I have created so, here is a section of my recent fic that I think is actually beautiful.

my original works
I wish I could share with you guys my original stuff, but I’m a playwright so I don’t know how I could do that. I’ve kind of been hesitant to talk about my originals on here because I know a lot of you followed me for the irondad content (which I love making btw) and you didn’t sign up for an original artist type deal. If you did want to find someway for me to share some of the original stuff though, I’d happily oblige.
I’m just feeling proud today - my school bought a class set of a play I wrote and they’re going to be using it as a legit curriculum piece - and I wanted to tell you all about it. I don’t know if I can call myself a professional playwright yet, I made money off this play, and it won a provincial drama/playwriting competition, but calling myself a professional seems kind of pompous right now.
but yeah, that’s what I do when I'm not obsessing over irondad or trying desperately to graduate, I write plays. Next year I’ll be pursuing a degree for Theatre and Creative Writing and everything. :)
I made the best hot chocolate that my has ever tasted. And don’t you dare say that’s not an amazing achievement, he used to live in Canada! So it is. And I’m very proud of that fact. ÙvÚ

I wrote over 3k today. I’m actually feeling really good about myself, even if the writing itself isn’t my best work. I’m actually being productive!
