I'm happy to announce that my debut novel is is coming out October 30, 2025. Click above or go to https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FPZNF837 to pre-order the Kindle edition. The paperback will be available on the drop date. Go here for more details.
The Liminal Spaces series follows Alice MacEwan as she learns about her connection with Faerie, another world accessible through places where time feels altered. Each book in what will at least be a trilogy is an homage to a different story in the fantasy genre, specifically Alice in Wonderland, Labyrinth, and The Wizard of Oz.
The first book, set in Bridgeport, CT, will be released on October 30, 2025. The second book brings Alice to New York City in search of her missing brother and does not yet have a release date.
Kindle users: download a copy of any books you want to keep to your personal computer before 2/26. Amazon is changing their policy and you will only be allowed to "own" a Kindle e-book on a Kindle device. (Not sure if the Kindle app counts.)
This video explains it better:

For now, my books are available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Kobo, and have been for years. Amazon is the most popular platform and where most of my sales came from, but I may need to revisit my options. We'll see.
Many thanks to @tadpole-art for this amazing portrait of Corruptio!
Introducing the World of Fire & Flight: Corruptio
Curiosity ~ Honor ~ Compromise
Corruptio, like His counterparts Helpet and later, Balmae in the Astretarian religion, is an omnipresent deity that helps to balance the world between the light and the dark. While those of the Godberdian faith regard Him skeptically and look to Him most in extreme times of dire need, they believe He tests their will and morality through different challenges and obstacles throughout their lives. Contemplative, fair, but also clever and honorable, Corruptio (core+rupt+chio) takes an active approach in testing the intentions of humanity through obstacles and challenges set in the path of an individual’s life. He doesn’t hope for a specific outcome, whether it be in the favor of the lighter half of the scale or the darker half, they are simply meant to test the will and moral reasoning of His subject.
Corruptio is often associated with Ursas, a reclusive creature of hulking stature and strength. Ursas are said to be clever-witted and proactive, though are often seen as dangerous because of their ability to climb, run, and swim.
Are you thinking of self-publishing? Read this post to find out why Charles Dickens was the original self-published success story.
Self-publishing isn’t as new a phenomenon as we might think today. Renowned Victorian author, Charles Dickens, took charge of almost the entire publishing process for his acclaimed novels, all of which were published in installments.
In fact, while researching the background behind Great Expectations, I found that reader responses influenced his future output. So angry were they when Pip did not end up with Estella, that Dickens had to write an alternative ending. (As a purist, I prefer the original).
This shows how readers who come along for the journey can help you better develop as a writer.
This article also has an infographic with fascinating details about the genius. I did not know, for example, that he handled the printing, binding, and publishing himself, too.
I have been a huge fan of Blog Your Book, and this is, in effect, what Charles Dickens did for the rest of his life: publishing chapter installments via a platform, rather than the whole book at once. Isn’t this practically the same thing that fanfiction authors do? As was once said famously, there is nothing new under the sun. The only thing that has changed is how fast you can deliver your content to readers.
Some people complain about the amount of poor quality material available via self-published routes. However, as this article shows, quality material not only gets noticed, but reread and replayed. The fact that it is now easier for anyone to get published compared to Charles Dickens’ day does not change that essential fact. Put the effort into producing high quality work-- in Dickens’ case, marvellous stories with rich vocabulary-- and whether or not you become as rich as he did, you will gain a readership.
I think this article can really help those who feel illegitimate as a writer, because they do not have this or that (a degree, experience, a platform, etc.). While I have nothing against traditional publishing, I do enjoy the liberty of self-publishing. Today, even traditionally published authors are responsible for their own branding. This is what Dickens did himself, often going on lengthy, exhausting tours to promote his literature.
Highly recommend this article for writers and authors!
Some years ago, I wrote a novel set during World War II, specifically, in London during the German bombings commonly known as the “Blitz”.
And a month ago, more or less, I self-published it on Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing.
It’s a romance novel, in which a fighter pilot named Christian Rowley, spends his leave in the city and a girl named Eveline Johnston, who is reserved and stubborn, and works in a tea room. It’s the story of their encounter and some days in which they try to forget the complicated environment in which their lives are set.
For the moment, it’s only available in Spanish edition, but if you read in Spanish or you know someone who likes to read in Spanish, here are the links where you can get my novel and support my work as an independent writer. I hope you enjoy it very much.
