I spent twenty minutes getting dressed because none of it looked quite right, just realized the problem. The thing that doesn’t match is me, I’m just ugly.

In a rose garden full of thorns, I swore you where the most beautiful flower, to blind was I by my self delusions to see the thorn you really where. Draining the blood from my hand and on to stunning petals as I gripped tighter scared of letting the flower I thought I saw, go.

People can be self conscious about anything. ANYTHING.

Today during health class my teacher told us to make a list to 10 and write all the things about ourselves we think a not normal or ugly. And personally I came up with 13 things I believe are not pretty about my body. But then she made us write 10 things that we did like about ourselves. I only got to 4. And my classmates like me could come up with probably so much more reasons to hate themselves more than love themselves. And the fact that it's like that makes me so sad. Today someone could give you an honest compliment and instantly you think to yourself they are making fun of you and you begin to overthink that characteristic and suddenly are so self conscious about it, instead of taking it as an actual compliment and gaining self confidence it works in the opposite way. I hate how it's like this but then you question will it ever not be?
