Introduction
Between Snapchat, Twitter and Instagram, selfies have overwhelmed our social media. These social media platforms have been flooded with pictures. According to Gray, “The world, it seems, is much vainer than we could possibly have imagined - there were more than 24 billion selfies were posted on Google’s servers last year” (2016). 24 BILLION selfies were posted to the internet over the course of one year. This is truly an insane amount of selfies, we are a selfie driven society. It is guaranteed that not all of these selfies were taken responsibly. The survey that we conducted concluded that almost 83 percent of people have seen someone take a selfie at an inappropriate time, such as while driving. That is over 19 billion selfies being taken at an inappropriate time and this is only considering the selfies that have been posted online. People need to be more considerate of the consequences that can come from an act so simple such as taking selfies.
Today has been entirely unnecessary.
