His expression hovered on the edge of suspicion. Dealing with STRANGERS in an intimate setting such as sickbay didn't appeal to him. MUCH LESS when it was with an officer he knew to have a blemished record – one which would make any head of security dubious.
"Where's the CMO?" Ash enquired while he observed the other’s manner. Either this would be easy, or difficult. “You aren’t cleared to be without a commanding officer in this section.”

When Max got home, she’d gone straight into the shower. She scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed until her skin was raw, but still she didn’t feel clean. She felt sick and dirty and didn’t bother trying to stop the tears that fell from her eyes, though she bit her lip to keep herself quiet. Everything was wrong. She’d yelled at her dad, said terrible things she didn’t mean. She’d snuck out and gone to a party, drank until she couldn’t remember she was upset anymore, but the worst part was what she’d done after that. Choking back a sob, she scrubbed some more at herself, staying in the shower until the water ran cold. Immediately after, she went into her room, put on some pyjamas, and curled up in bed, planning on staying there the rest of the day. Maybe even longer.

Everyone on this rig had their stories. Some of them just wore them closer to their chest. It was an odd assembly of people, but for some reason, they worked. Like a family, just a really dysfunctional one. Caroline watched the doctor curiously as he moved around the kitchen, tucking her knees tighter against her chest as she stirred the weak cup of tea she’d made herself. He was just about to leave when she spoke, breaking the calm silence between them. “So, what’s your story?” The captain is a war survivor, Zoe is his second in command though she assumes everyone pretends it Jayne. Kaylee is the mechanic, also the favorite of everyone on board. But the doctor and his sister...she hadn’t quite figured that one out yet.
“ You’re part of Reynolds crew, ain’t you? The captain was asking for my assistance, you don’t happen to know what with? “

River sat facing the wall, the very tips of her fingers tracing over the cool metal and feeling the hum of the spacecraft. Silent and still as she was the others hardly noticed her as they past and she didn’t make move to let them know of her presence. Until she heard Simon say something extraordinarily dumb to Kaylee before making her run off.
When she turned the expression one her face was one only a sister could give a brother. “Sometimes I wonder how much taking care of you I’m going to have to do.” She remarked.
I’m not really here, I’m making a whole new blog for some new muses but I just gotta say:
