Two skirt panels and a Gala

The start of my next project! I’m knitting a paneled skirt, using a petticoat pattern from Butterick’s 1892 The Art of Kitting (link below) as inspiration. I decided to use size 10 1/2 needles for the panels, and size 9 (I think) for the waistband strip, which will be stitched to an elastic waistband. I’m using a Lion Brand Yarns’ Pound of Love in Oxford Grey, weight 4
I’ll be typing up a proper pattern once it’s all done, and adding it to the final project post.

My skirt; 3 panels, another on the way, a few swatches, and another in the works!
Working on this thing right now. Kinda excited how it will turn out in the end.
Handmade cropped top, selfpainted fabric with flourbatik. Reused denim and cotton fabrics.
