It was a lovely evening. Maybe a little slow, but lovely. You had your curtains pulled up, getting a view of the sunset as the room lit up in a dim shade of orange. You had a snack in your lap -- or maybe it was dinner -- and was settling yourself onto your couch, about to turn on the TV. Ah, the TV; every now and then the shape reminded of your husband, Mr. Puzzles. You hoped he was doing well, wherever he might be at the moment. Suddenly, a small clang snapped you out of your thoughts, coming from the roof. You looked up and flinched as one of the covers for the heater fell off and hit the ground. You scrambled to your feet, cautious of whatever threat might face you, before-- a UFO exited the vent. It was small. It looked harmless. The UFO made a frustrated beep before floating up to you and making a more light, polite beep, before ejecting an envelope from its base. You felt your face tense before hesitantly taking the envelope. The UFO kindly beeped and went back up into your heater -- before coming back again and quickly beaming up the cover, using some kind of technology to fix it -- and exiting again.
You were a little confused, but sat back down on your couch to open the envelope anyways.
