Fankidtober Day 5: Selinde Mei
Solana & Lunick's daughter! Not much else to say, she's a Ranger like her parents and is a known lone-wolf (lone-Lycanrock?) ever since her rival and best friend abandoned her post and betrayed her heart.

Selinde's government was trying to phase in the Voan system except it wasn't working cuz changing systems is hard and the Voan system sucks. They were holding on because of dumb uneducated purples but then the food crisis happened. People were so mad at Voa that they voted them out of office except that then a bunch of people who thought they'd get a baby didn't. Then they voted some of them back in, but a person they voted in switched sides. They've voted in a new government each year since.

In the future I would prefer, um, more politically neutral type descriptions? That also don’t randomly insult people?
But, thank you for the info!
*does year counting*
Is the continued upheaval thing still about child credit systems or is something else-all going on?
(Is the system they’re attempting to replace just a credit auction or…)
I don't see what you're so upset about? The Voan system *is* stupid? But anyways I think that person is overstating how much upheaval there is? Although the failed attempt at phasing in Voan allocations certainly doesn't help? But we haven't voted out the entire government literally every year? Just a lot of them?

Ok, I don’t actually like random political argument drama in my real life? Obviously you think your opinions are right, but even if I agreed with you (which I don’t), if I say ‘sure, everyone, send me your political opinions when I ask for background info’ then people in general are going to do it, so it’d still be likely I end up seeing things with opinions I didn’t actually want to go dealing with?
And meanwhile whichever way, then if I publish the ask (which I want to; if I have the question someone else might!) I might end up with a political argument out of people seeing it, and I don’t want that, what I want is background info for my fanfic reading!
While if I say ‘just send me info’ and people do that, then I don’t have to deal with that, and regardless of what I or my followers have political thoughts about I can just take the info and go read the fanfic! Which is what I wanted to do when I asked.
Anyway, thanks for the added context!
@makemesay
Is there anyone here who knows/understands political stuff in Selinde and can give me like, the basic 101? This SummaryBank article is intimidating. (And this fic is very high context).
Beloved, (...) Writing seems a queer thing. It does make a difference. I should never talk to you like this. For one thing, I don't know what mood you are in, an then) but the subtleties are infinte. The truth is, I am always trying to get beghind words; and they flop down upon me suddenly When I write to Ottoline or Lytton, I honour all the conventions, and love them. and then, you are much simpler than I am. I thought about that at the opera last night. How do you manage to see one thing at a time? Without any of those reflections that distract me so much, and make people call me bad names. I suppose you are, as Lytton once said, the most complete human being of us all; and your simplicity is really that you take in much more than I do, who intensify atoms ...
