Blackbird Vineyards 2019 Dissonance (SRP $20): Sourced from vineyards in Carneros and Knights Valley, this wine is composed of 87% Sauvignon Blanc and 13% Semillon. It is aged in clay amphorae and 30% new French oak barrels. Aromatic notes of fresh grapefruit, bruised apple, white flowers, and wet-stone minerality extend to the palate with bright acidy providing lift throughout. It finishes with good energy and a wisp of baking spice, but a nice, textured roundness, too. So the other day I was browsing for wine, as I do - and this label caught my eye. I'm a sucker for quirky labels, and Aussie wines rule in that department. Well, whaddaya know - it's an Aussie wine 🇦🇺
This is a natural rosé wine. Now, I'm not a big fan of natural wine. I don't hate it, just not a big fan 🤷🏼♀️ But I read the description which said red garden berries. Hey, I like red garden berries. So I bought it.
And let me tell you, Jumpin' Juice Half Full is a whole lot of fun in a bottle! I don't think I've ever tasted anything like this. It really is like a refreshing juice with red garden berries. I simply love it ❤️
