Thoughts on Akayona ending:
Kusanagi cannot realistically kill off Hakyona. For three reasons:
Hakyona is more or less (much, MUCH more tbh) Kusanagi's current brand.
Yona's first and most prominent goal has been to simply stay alive.
Hak is swearing up and down on his body spirit and soul that he will return to her. I don't think there's a reason for that unless Kusanagi is explicitly planning to resolve it.
Zeno might be cooked. Regardless of whether he lives or dies. If he lives, I'm 90% certain he will lose his right arm/leg/eye, because that is the half of his body not only being consumed by the corrupt dragon god, BUT, it's a good parallel for the other three dragons new disabilities as well. Or he just dies. Which I hope is what happens. I sincerely doubt Kusa will keep him alive (ALSO BECAUSE THERE'S NO WAY SHE'S HINTED AT KAYA THIS MUCH NOT TO BRING HER BACK INTO PLAY) but I will accept it as long as it's a mortal life. I refuse to consider that she would make him eat his words and actually suffer the rest of eternity.
Peg leg pirate Jae-Ha!
I doubt we won't see Kija's grandmother again, but time is fleeting so idk.
If Zeno dies, Yoon had better get to say goodbye. Last he heard, Zeno tried to off himself. I doubt that would bode well for his mental state.
I really hope it's not just one of those: "welp. That's that. time to part ways, bye guys." But it's likely. And I hate that. How many times have the characters thought of their happy times together coming to an end???? At least three. Which is a red flag. HOWEVER. I refuse to believe Kusanagai would let them separate just like that. She could totally draw a parallel to when the og dragons died, and how Zeno refused to visit them because he was scared of watching them grow old, and instead show the hhb growing old and coming together regularly over Zeno's grave. It'd be bittersweet. It'd be good.
Or, she ends on a group hug. I know this is bad, but I couldn't care less what happens in their reality. Let them deal with it off-screen. Let them all reunite, the prophecy complete, and tend to their wounds together as a closing scene. Let it end on, "We'll face it together." Let it end the way it began.
