~ Because of that, he grew up with mommy issues

~ Kolivan grew up without the gentle love of a mother, and even though he had a great relationship with his father he always felt that something was missing in his life

~ You almost immediately know what's going on in this man's life as soon as you meet him and you take on the motherly role he never had growing up

~ Within a few months of his friendship with you Kolivan slowly becomes less cold and stoic

~ He will do anything for you just to hear you praise him

~ Loves being called a good boy, because it heals his soul

~ Sendak had both of his parents around during his childhood, but his mother was always dismissive towards him

~ She always preferred his sisters over him

~ And because of it, he ended up with mommy issues

~ Sendak secretly has self image issues and he's never sure how to treat women; he feels betrayed by his mother no matter how old he gets

~ Of course, that changes after he meets you

~ You treat him far better than his mother ever did and you're just so motherly,

~ After Sendak pours his heart out to you, you work on being the mother he deserves

~ With time, Sendak feels more complete and he's not as aggressive; he also treats you like a queen

~ Each time you tell Sendak he's a good boy, he shows his appreciation for you by giving you a hug while purring deeply

~ She tries her best to be the best official unofficial daughter you could have ever asked for

Scenario for Sendak being reunited with teenage human galra hybrid daughter who was taken from from him when she was a baby and her mother was killed but his daughter is feisty and very angry and demands he lets her go and denies that he's her father?

This is only my second time ever writing for a Galra character so bear with me haha but I hope you enjoy! - mod Lyca

You glared at the Galra general-Sendak he said his name was-standing in front of you and tried, once again, to wriggle out of your restraints but to no avail. It had taken several sentries and two lieutenants to restrain you but not without injuries on their side. You were scared and angry; a dangerous combination when Galra blood ran through your veins. 

You had been traversing all across the galaxy on a mission to find your father after your mother was killed. All you had to begin your search was coordinates to a Galran outpost and a scribbled letter in an alien language you couldn’t read. It seemed too good to be true that after years on your own, years spent searching through the known universe, this Galra general claimed to be your father. You didn’t believe him. 

“Let me go!” you yelled, thrashing around in frustration. 

“Stop! You’ll hurt yourself,” Sendak huffed, reaching to settle you down. 

You recoiled from him and kicked him in the leg. Sendak was surprised by the strength in your kick but felt a sense of pride in knowing that was the Galra in you; that was his DNA giving you strength. 

“What do you care anyway?! You’ll just send me to your gladiator ring!” 

“Why would I send my own child into the gladiator ring?” asked Sendak, genuine confusion across his features. 

You stared in disgusted disbelief at him. This giant, purple koala looking alien still claimed to be your father? Anger washed over you and with a frustrated yell, you broke free of your restraints, lunging at Sendak with the full force of your anger. 

“I am not your child! Now, I am walking out of here to go find my real father and if you stop me I am going to hurt you,” you threatened, sneering at Sendak. 

Your eyes darted around frantically as you backed away from Sendak and the sentry guards still left standing, acutely aware that they could attack you at any time. 

“Stop! I am your father, child. Look.” Sendak pressed something on his gauntlet and from it a picture was projected in front of him. 

You felt your heart sink to your stomach as you took in the image-a photo of Sendak beside your mother and in her arms, a tiny baby bundled into a blanket. It was you. 

“I’m…I’m part Galra…”

Sendak was a cuddler, this was normal, but after being in a cryopod and getting his mind picked apart he was even more clingy than usual. You couldn’t get him off you, not that you wanted too but even you had to pee at some point.

“Do you have to go?” he’d say when you’d have to actually go use the restroom.

“Two ticks my love I swear!” you’d promise and by the time you’d get back he’d look at you with a pouty look.

“That was more than two ticks” he’d pout at you and you just couldn’t stay mad at this equivilent of a giant space kitten. You got back into bed to let him spoon you and he held you close, inhaling your scent like a drug that he just couldn’t get enough of.

“I love you” he breathed before kissing your neck and licking at it lovingly.

“I love you too” you smile and bring one arm up to wrap around his head from behind. He purrs and you feel the vibrations in your whole body since, his whole body was the right size to envelope yours in one, big, plush snuggle.

Summary: Sendak finds you (his daughter) after years of being apart

Sendak sigh as he finally sat down got the frist time today and rubbed his face.

It was a very rough day for the Commander.

Today was your birthday and he wished that he was with you.

Or knew where you where.

He blamed himself for the last one.

He when away on a three day mission when you where a few weeks old and cane back to find his wife dead and his little Y/N gone.

There was a knock on the door and Sendak answered with a "come in". A young looking cadet came out in he looked scared to be in the Commander's Room.

"Can I help you, Cadet?"

"There was a small rebel ship caught in the quadrant of Syd Stella."

"So. . ."

"Well. . .ummmm. . .one of them said he know where your daughter is."

Sendak looked at cadet, who was looking at the ground.

"Tell the pilot we are going to the Syd Stella Quadrant."

You stood in the middle of a metal work shop covered in grease and oil. Your  master rolled his eyes at you and his wife giggle. You where always told that they had for you abandoned on the streets, and that you parents didn’t want you back you where a half Human Galra thing. You hair was a bright purple and you ears where tipped and you had gold-ish eye. What they didn’t tell you was that they where high ranking rebel agents working in the Underground and stole you from a Galra officers because of you oddness.

Someone ran in the shop.

“Sir!” he said “There is a Galra cruiser coming here!”

“What?” 

“Sendak is looking for her.”

“He will never find her!” Your Master growled.

“Guess again,” Sendak said pushing pass the man “there is no honor with liers and thief.”

“Like you have more honor!” Your master said “Kill people in the name of your empire, not thinking about their family and the aftermath of it.”

“You stole my child!” he said.

“Only after you killed mine.” he said grabbing you and putting a knife to your throat “Now I can return the favor!”

Your eyes got big. You where at first scared because there was Galra soldiers, now to learn the the one with the robotic arm is your father, and the man that have been raising you was going to kill you.

“You will not hurt Y/N!”

“Why not?” he said “You didn’t care when you killed my daughter. I wonder if you will care if I kill yours.”

“Please, don’t do things” you cried.

“Do you really think we kept you out of the kindness in our hearts?” he growled in your ear “we kept you because we knew he would come one day and then I can give him the some pain that he give me.”

“Please, save me!”  you said as he pushed the blade to your throat

Sendak’s eyes got big before he acted. He shot above you and something hit your old master and you ran to Sendak. The Commander picked you and and wrapped his arms around you in a big hug.

“Little Y/N.” he said.

“Papa” you said baring your face in his chest.”can we go away from here?”

“Of course.” he said and he lifted you up and cared you out of the room and away from your kidnapers.

The years spent battling the Galra were a gruesome decade of intergalactic turmoil that no one was prepared for. With Zarkon in the seat of authority, the universe suffered countless losses of not only alien lives, but human as well. You could fill lakes on Earth with the amount of blood that was shed, but… it’s finally over. Finally, there is something to look forward to when you wake up, and everyone greets the day like it’s their last. Maybe it took a war, but people are finally living their lives to the fullest.

Even you have garnered the courage needed to take the next steps in your relationship. Where once uncertainty plagued your heart, now lies the excitement promised by a new life with Sendak. It took a while, and it wasn’t always pretty, but as the war on the Galra inched to a close, Sendak finally found the courage to defy the empire and escape with you in his arms.

With thoughts of all the sacrifices made for the sake of your blossoming relationship rolling around in your mind, you release a silent sigh, and press your head against Sendak’s flesh shoulder. This arm, which had once sought to control you, to destroy your will, now provides comfort. His fur is soft underneath his very human tank top, and you can’t help but to giggle at how out of place he looks without his armor. The tank top even has a hood, which his ears are spilling out of (he had put up such a fuss when you dressed him in your apartment).

Sendak has become a man of few words, but he catches your happiness, and holds it close to his heart. He wraps his arm around your shoulders, pulling you close. The men on top of the Slinningsbålet scramble down the wooden surface, feet hitting the ground just as the tower erupts into flame and the crowd cheers as summer is ushered in. You’re nowhere near the flames, but you can see the fire dancing in Sendak’s synthetic eye.

You’ve always loved this moment, where day turns to night and the flames break apart the woes of yesterday. As a child you had dreamed of bringing your special someone here, and now it’s actually happening. It took a war, a lot of blood and tears, but you’re here now, and you wouldn’t trade a single moment for anything. You wouldn’t trade Sendak, even if the sight of him would cause a stir with the humans still suffering from xenophobia brought upon by the Galran Empire. Which is why you’re far enough from the bonfire to see it but not to raise suspicion. (And once again you have to stifle a giggle, because his hoodie isn’t fooling anyone, you just wanted to see how cute he looks in human clothes.)

The fire takes to the skies, rising ever higher, and Sendak turns to you in his arms. His eyes are almost kind when he speaks, the light of the fire illuminating his features in the darkness. He squeezes you tightly.

“This is one of your human traditions?”

You nod.

“More like a Norwegian tradition specifically, but yes.”

This time he nods, but it isn’t long before another question falls from his lips. It catches in the sound of the tower’s fire crackling, signaling the beginning of its fall.

“And it is commonplace to bring one’s mate here?”

“We don’t call it that here, but yes. You bring the people you love the most to usher in the summer.”

Sendak hums at this, and it’s almost like a purr. You feel it reverberate in his torso as he draws you into his lap. The tower before you crackles one final time before the foundation gives way and the fiery mass tumbles to the earth. There is a cacophony of cheers, then, but you only hear Sendak as he presses his lips to your ear.

“Once I had sought to conquer this world, to defile its lands in the name of Zarkon, but you… you have changed me. You make me want to be a better man.”

You know you won’t hear words like these again for a long time, but even this admission is enough. Tears spring to your eyes, and you can’t help yourself when you turn in his lap and captures his lips in a kiss. There has been blood, tears, sweat, and Sendak has not always thought of you as something so precious… but you can’t help to feel that it was all worth it, just to be here with him like this.

Just to kiss him in the glow of the falling tower and feel his love for you in every inch of his being.

~ Sendak ~

~ Galra generally don't have as many illnesses and conditions as humans do because it's basically bred out of them as a species, so when Sendak learns that you have a condition that causes chronic pain and fatigue he tries his best to make you as comfortable as possible

~ He researches your condition so he can better understand it without making you uncomfortable, although he listens to you so he can understand what you're going through from your point of view

~ He doesn't view you as weak because it's not your fault that you have your condition, but you're the only person he makes accommodations for

~ Based on what you've told him that you need extra sleep Sendak makes the bed even more comfortable when you need a nap

~ He also helps you practice relaxation techniques and simple physical exercise

~ Support groups aren't really a thing in the galra empire, although if you have mood swings or anxiety he schedules a talk therapy session with one of the best therapists in the empire via video chat

~ Sendak likes taking naps with you from time to time, at his age and with how busy he is he needs it

~ For your tender and sore muscles Sendak delicately rubs pain relief ointment on your skin where you're sore, he doesn't like seeing you in pain

~ If your periods are affected by your condition Sendak gives you a little extra painkiller so that your cramps aren't too bad and he keeps the right period products stocked in the bathroom as well

~ He eventually commissions Haggar to make a cure for you so that you don't have to deal with your condition for the rest of your life; it can be done because she knows ancient altean healing magic

~ Modern galra technology and medicine also gives her an advantage, it just takes her a little while to make a cure for you

~ Kolivan ~

~ Shortly after Kolivan started courting you he noticed how there was something different about you; he never noticed it much before, but you seem tired and in pain more than the paladins

~ Before he could ask you about it you confessed that you have a condition that makes you experience chronic pain and fatigue, as well as a few other unpleasant symptoms

~ Kolivan isn't familiar with human conditions and illnesses, although he does everything he can to make you comfortable

~ You agree to move in with him so he can take care of you easier after he asks you

~ He asks Ulaz if he can make a cure for you because he doesn't want you to keep suffering from your condition

~ Ulaz can definitely make something, but it'll take a while because some of the things he needs are rare and hard to find

~ Until then he lets you rest as much as you need to, he even made the bed more comfy for you

~ You appreciate that Kolivan's willing to take the time out of his schedule in order to take care of you

~ He listens to you when you need someone to talk to and he helps you with simple exercises

~ If you need someone else to talk to you talk to the on-site therapist

~ Doing yoga with him every couple of days helps you to relax

~ Ulaz keeps muscle relaxant ointment in stock for you, it's effective in making your chronic pain less painful

~ There isn't much anyone can do for your chronic fatigue until your cure is ready

~ You take plenty of naps, though

~ If you need a massage then he gives you a massage if he's not too busy

~ You couldn't have asked for a better significant other, until your cure is ready Kolivan takes care of you in every way imaginable
