Do you think the cast actually reads the letters and stuff they get? Because they probably get a lot, I really want to send them letters but I don't want to be annoying yikes

Well, I know Ben Platt hangs up letters and art that fans send in his dressing room! A lot of the other cast does as well (as seen in their various Instagram stories)! Laura Dreyfuss and Kristolyn Lloyd both just had a bunch of shout-outs on Instagram to the various artists who’ve sent them work. So I’m fairly sure (100% sure) that they do actually read/see the things they’re sent.

I’m not sure if they all respond to it all, but they definitely look at it and appreciate it! I can’t imagine that receiving loads of compliments and encouragements is annoying, though, so as long as your letter is positive and nice then I think they’ll love it!

So I sent a letter to Mike (and multiple small little things for each member of the cast that I made) but also sent a thing for a signed playbill. And I got a response on the playbill (they want $75 to Broadway cares which I get but I'm poor so that's a no go) but because I already got that back does that mean I won't get any other response? Like I don't even know if Mike responds or whatever but if he does do I have a chance of getting a response still? Sorry to bother you!

You’re not bothering me at all! (Also, wow, when I saw in show in January a playbill signed by the whole cast was like $15, or, if you stagedoored, free. It’s really taken off, but it’s good that they’re raising money for an amazing cause, I think).

Also, I’d say not to rule anything out! I once sent a letter to someone on Broadway and didn’t get a response until 13 months later, so…. Some people only respond to their fan mail after they leave the show and have more free time. I really hope you do get something! Good luck!
