We've been your hosts! Have a wonderful night, darlings!
non disorder systems aren’t going into cdd spaces. We have shared spaces. Also we’re going to use the terms that describe our experience. We’re systems, and we have alters.
(EXTREMELY LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER)
Try again, mate. You and your ntg buddies are ableist. If you can't handle being labeled as that, don't label yourselves as something you're not.
You are not systems, you do not have alters because those are medical terms used to describe disorders caused by trauma. Which you claim you don't have.
You ARE invading our spaces, otherwise we wouldn't have to deal with the headache of seeing your uneducated, toxic-positivity, misinformation bullshit. We never consented to shared spaces!!!! You just keep coming back!!!
But unfortunately for all of us, you lot can't have the common sense and decency to respect the boundaries of literal trauma survivors, so yeah.
"We're going to use the terms that describe our experience" I'm going to dislocate your wrist when I say this; make new fucking terms! Literally no would would care if you used non-medical terms as long as you stayed in your own spaces and didn't constantly imply that your experiences and ours are the same.

Currently reading Babel by Rebecca Kuang, I'm up to chapter 9. Thoughts:
"We should get students of Oriental Languages" said Professor Lovell, while doing all he can to separate his Chinese ward from anything Chinese.
My early guess on why Griffin nearly failed with his invisibility silver bar is because he was forced to live Chinese in an English context for so long he doesn't really remember anymore the nuances and differences between the Chinese and English meaning of words. He hadn't been to China in ages. (This is also part of the guess, as the book is yet to specify any such thing.)
I'm also not sure I agree with Lovell regarding European languages drawing closer to each other. I live about 190 years after the events of this novel (plus a different timeline), and European languages still have enough nuance between the meanings of words so as to not be identical.
Pendennis. Is a person I just met and expect to not appear much more in the book, if at all. But I want to mention him due to the absolute idiocy of thinking: yeah, so the glory of Ozymandias is over, but ours will never die! Just wait a couple more centuries. Waterloo is still remembered as a train station, but in two hundred years even that might fade. In a millennium, the Duke of Wellington won't even be referred to in historical articles. Your precious British Empire has fallen, and with time its memory will be naught but a barely interesting ancient civilization, remembered only for the peoples who were freed from it.
the other spanner in the works for whatever the hell viago and lucanis had going on is that lucanis blatantly knows viago really quite well. he brings him up a lot in banter and he’s always referring to aspects of viago’s personality (his love of art, for example) with a fair amount of confidence that he knows what viago would do or say or think. i do think lucanis’ uh minimal social circle—he doesn’t have that many other people he could talk about—plus his generally lightning fast analysis of the people around him possibly exaggerate this, but it’s noticeable. but this can’t mean they knew each other that well prior to the ossuary, surely?? because viago in tevinter nights is on about caterina’s “demon of a grandson” when he thinks she’s not listening. i suppose there’s a terrible version of events here for everyone involved, where they did actually work together for a while and lucanis had a crush and noticed everything while viago had Increasing Paranoia, culminating in the dagger debacle after which lucanis was “ignored”. it would check out in that lucanis doesn’t seem the type to develop feelings from a distance and he does seem the type to immediately develop or assume himself to have developed feelings the very first time he works with someone outside his own family for a while. that or lucanis is getting his info from spending a really significant amount of time in treviso right now when he’s not with rook?
"all the momentum lies with lando he's come from 34 points behind" um yeah and lets talk about the gap that max has diminished?
antis: I was just made aware there are blogs that show no deep understanding of canon material! the very same post: *proceeds to show no deep understanding of canon material*
