I'm excited to announce the release of chapter one of my new Miraculous longfic for @mlbigbang2024.

First, I want to thank @uptoolateart for generously beta reading this story. @supergirl9130 has provided art for the first chapter (click through to the work to see it!).

Thanks to @amarilke for some last-minute help as a fact-checker on ch1.

The story is canon divergent, but also somewhat canon adjacent given that much of canon has happened, but some of it in different ways. But, crucially, most of the identity reveals have not happened. I'd rather do those myself :) Think of it as Justice League meets Twelve Angry Men. Superheroes weighing the fate of the accused, except they all have reasons to resent each other (when you start thinking about it, there's a shocking amount of reasons in canon for there to be grudges and grievances!).

Nathalie Sancoeur has turned on Gabriel and gave information to Ladybug that led to his downfall. Now, her ragtag team of Miraculous holders must decide what to do with her while she is being held prisoner by Bunnyx in her time burrow.

Ladybug feels overwhelmed by all her allies’ differing opinions and by the revelation tonight that her boyfriend is a sentibeing. She sets out to convince them that Adrien Agreste’s closest quasi-family should be shown leniency. As the team debates Mme Sancoeur’s fate, old wounds are re-opened, and the team feels like it's falling apart.

Most painful of all is that Ladybug hasn’t seen Chat Noir in days.

I like to think that Félix’s pockets are just overflowing with various assorted rings that he can swap out with amoks. The reason we didn’t see him for the first half of season 5 is because he was busy pickpocketing every single person in Paris to add to his ring collection. He only kissed Kagami’s hand bc he was about to steal hers to add to his collection, until he noticed the amok and was like Oh Shoot. And spent the time between Emotion and Pretention looking for a ring that looked just like hers. He could have stolen Adrien’s ring when he was impersonating him but at that point it was a matter of pride that he had one in his Collection TM that matched. Someone tries to take his amok and he just spills 200 rings on the ground and is like “Good Luck :)” (his amok is none of them)

So like Felix saying sorry to the sentimonsters when thrown in the sun.... he feels sorry for them??? Because??? He knows???? How uts like???? To be?? A sentimonster?????

Yes that was my take on it :( look how sad he is!!!

notably he is not joining the others in destroying those sentis at this part. He hangs back and even breaks the lucky charm sunglasses bc he doesn’t want to participate in the battle for this. As a senti himself he’s probably not only sad on behalf of those sentis that were destroyed but also afraid of the idea that people would treat him the same way if they knew what he was. If ladybug found out he and adrien were sentis, would she feel it her duty to release them from existence? (Ofc not but the fact that felix would even have to question that has to be heartbreaking.) He may be sad at the misunderstanding of what sentis are (monsters that need to be eliminated rather than living beings who are being controlled without a choice but to follow orders) and maybe even sad that the peacock miraculous is even being used in this way—that gabriel and others have twisted its purpose to something evil, to create and dispose of life at their whim, like it’s nothing, instead of respecting a living, feeling being’s right to live and feel.

Emotion may not have had anyone outright say that Adrien, Kagami, and Felix are sentimonsters (though Felix calling the sentimonster he made his “sister” is probably enough to count as verbal confirmation in show that he’s a sentimonster, because seriously, how ELSE are you supposed to take that?), but it did everything short of it. And the episode makes no sense unless the three of them are sentimonsters.

Fanfiction Prompt

Felix is actually rather reasonable in his plans. He had briefly debated a rather convoluted plan involving disguising himself as Adrien a few times so that he could infiltrate his uncle's home and steal the Peacock. But, in the end, he decided that there was a potentially easier method, albeit one that was a little more time consuming: he'd talk to the heroes of Paris about it. They had Miraculous of their own, so surely they'd be useful allies in his endeavours. The heroes of Paris are a little skeptical, but a Lucky Charm that was made into an "Sentimonster Detector" proved that Felix was telling the truth about his story, so they can begin planning what to do with his information. Just as soon as they all recover from the shock of the detector going off when it was briefly pointed at Chat Noir.

listen, the haha adrien is a sentimonster theories were fun and it was a wild time post introduction of the peacock miraculous and its powers, but are we serious with everyone being a sentihuman?

I wanna kill myself I’ve just realized that in the previous 4 seasons, the names of the episodes where the names of the akumatized OR a sentimonster (sentibeing?) and something that really bothered me was that two of those episodes was named after the characters “Gabriel Agreste” and “Felix” (also Ladybug but there was no villain, just sentimonster so it was obvious to me at the time)

but just now I’ve realized that the Gabriel Agreste episode was named like that because the focus point was the sentimonster of Gabriel Agreste and it didn’t hit me that the name of the other episode was “Felix” because even if we didn’t know it yet, he is the sentibeing that the episode is focused on, not the four akumatized characters.

The last time someone tried to outsmart Chat Blanc he nearly blew up the planet and galaxy and universe and... Maybe multiverse? I don't know how long Felix would last honestly XD

His biggest hope would be getting Adrien amok which... Uh... Hm... What DID happen to his amok???? He dusted Gabriel... Did... Did he destroy it and live? Or is it in a pocket dimension limbo cause of the transformation?

Or is this just a plot hole?

asking the real questions here mythical lol. maybe since the amok was on emilie and she was underground it got...preserved? maybe it has magical protection like in odnlb. maybe akumatized powers don't work on amoks bc the butterfly's power can't destroy the peacock's power?? or yeah maybe it's a plot hole! it's fun to speculate on isn't it 😂

also felix is very smart he outwits gabriel at every turn i'm pretty sure he can hold his ground against chat blanc as long as he doesn't fight him directly
