Grown ass man prone to tummy aches from getting hungry because after Optimus and Elita are gone he’s shit at taking care of himself in favor of work and training. He gets EXTRA bitchy when he’s hangry, if that’s even possible (it is)

I didn’t mean for this page to have like, the exact same format as the last one, but it does

I tried to design the kids from that one TFA fanfic I read once because they come into my brain every now and then. I feel like I’m undermining the fic by saying that. It’s part of a collection, called Blessings in Disguise by Quiet_Shadow on Ao3 (idk if they have a tumblr), where basically post Archa 7 and being kicked out of the Academy, Optimus finds out he’s sparked, and later has twins who were sired by both Elita and Sentinel, one for each, and he’s basically raising them with his space bridge crew, since Elita’s supposedly dead and Sentinel keeps ignoring Optimus’ repeated attempts to contact him. The kids are named Ariel and Dion, in reference to the War Dawn characters, and I think are also supposed to somewhat resemble them

I felt I should give a summary for anyone who doesn’t have yesterday’s context. The fics are both relatively short and the second one remains unfinished, but I liked it well enough

But yeah, as alluded to yesterday, I’ve been debating whether or not to draw the kids, and after yesterday I decided “screw it, why not”

As it turns out, the first fic actually did have descriptions for each of the kids, so I had more to work with, which honestly I probably needed

I don’t know how to draw sparklings, so I think I ended up making them look older than they’re supposed to be in the fic. Sorry

And also, while Ariel I think turned out really well, Dion isn’t the best. I actually had to redo him partially because I was trying to give him a Sentinel chin (though far smaller), while also trying to give him a helmet like he was supposed to have (in the fic he has both), but it wasn’t looking right so I changed it to what it is now, which is still kind of wonky. He’s also described as looking a lot like Sentinel, but because I wanted to give him Optimus’ blue skin, among other traits, he ended up resembling Optimus far more than Sentinel

I also gave them both Optimus’ chin thing, initially as coincidence but screw it, shared trait

Ariel was described as pink, so I conceded that she’s pink, but I gave her a more peach tone instead, and overall I quite like her color scheme. Dion too, just not as much

I’m not super sure about the bodies though, particularly the arms. I was drawing that part while bored at work, so it may have affected my creativity. I mean, I guess they’re fine, but I don’t know

But yeah I’m not sure I have more to say, so just know that I did this

Honestly it actually was a lot of fun, at least until the struggle with Dion’s head came into play. I really do need to get around to making my own fankids at some point

And also with this and yesterday, I really do see why people like the TFA style, it’s pretty fun to draw. I need to incorporate it more, but my AU already has another style it’s trying to emulate

*sigh*, if only I had a way to incorporate the TFA style more while also drawing characters and designs separate from the continuity, just borrowing a similar style. I don’t know

Back in the academy, everytime Sentinel would feel stressed or extremely tired. He would flop on top of either Optimus or Elita. They would start patting his aft as a way to comfort him.

They didn't know this until Elita would playfully smack his aft and Sentinel would encourage her even though they weren't horny.

Now to the present, Sentinel face down on his berth, he would pat his own aft. He feels somewhat depressed while doing this because it's not the same.

Sentinel wonders if Optimus thinks about patting his aft which he angrily blushes and believes a washed up bot like Optimus doesn't deserve to touch his aft

The Story of Sentinel's Chin - tfa

Chat, I have a headcanon. 'Tis a very considerable one. I have a headcanon that Sentinel originally didn't have the fat stupid chin he's known for now. He manually screwed it onto himself (hence the big screw thing in the middle). The reason for it is because he has a resting glitch face and everyone was terrified of talking with him because he always looked like he was on the edge of committing homicide. Of course, Sentinel had absolutely no idea until Elita-One told him.

So, the event and origins of it go like this:

Sentinel: Why does no one talk to me?!?!?!?1!?!1

Elita, trying to suppress giggles: Maybe it's because you look like you want to kill them?

Sentinel: WHAT?!?!

Elita: Yeah, Sen, you have a resting glitch face.

Sentinel, who does not know what an rgf is: WHAT?!?!?!?

Elita, turning blue because she's holding back laughter: Look, I got the schematics for a chin mod a while back. Why don't you wear that?

Sentinel, scoffing: How is a CHIN going to help me?!

Elita, shrugging in a way she thinks is mysterious: It's the Chin of Truth, Sentinel. Wear it and find out.

The next day, Sentinel puts on the chin and walks into his first class which he, coincidentally, shares with Optimus.

Optimus: spits out drink

Optimus: What the Pit is that on your face, Sentinel?!

Sentinel, chagrined: Elita told me to put it on. Is it working-

Random mech 1: Oh, Sentinel! Hi! Uh-

he gets distracted by the chin and momentarily forgets his fear

Random mech 1: Uh...

Sentinel: WELL?! SPIT IT OUT!

Random mech 1: We need... blueprints for-

they finish their conversation in a fairly civil manner, though random mech's gaze keeps falling to the damn chin, entirely perplexed more often than not.

Random mech 1: Leaves

Sentinel:

Optimus:

Sentinel, smirking: It's working.

Optimus, suppressing what he thinks could be either hysterical cackles or hysterical tears: ...Right.

BONUS

Optimus: You planned this.

Elita is dumbfounded for a moment before she bursts out laughing

Elita: I didn't think he'd actually do it!

Optimus, wry: It's Sentinel.

Elita: All hail the Chin of Truth! Come on, praise with me Optimus!

Optimus: ...No.

(Optimus did, in fact, praise with her after copious amounts of Engex. Sentinel walked in on them, promptly got drunk, and joined in)

NOTE: Sentinel used to take off the chin in basic training. After Elita died, he saw it as her memory, in a strange, twisted way. He hasn't taken it off since.

Sentinel although having strong resentment towards Optimus especially Blackarachnia, he gets stressed if anything horrible happens to them

Blackarachnia seeing Optimus and Sentinel argue constantly cause the realization of her "death" greatly impacting their lives

If Sentinel is getting too aggressive with Optimus, Blackarachnia wouldn't hesitate in telling Sentinel to frag off

Optimus would try to get the two get along but Sentinel and Blackarachnia clash too strongly but he doesn't give up

Blackarachnia feels weird around the two, she appreciates Optimus kindness but him trying to make her act like Elita One is mentally exhausting whereas Sentinel doesn't see her as Elita One but he feels incredibly uncomfortable towards her which causes her to be depressed about it

If the three ever get in a brutal fight with the Decepticons and Blackarachnia, due to her being technorganic, I'm guessing she's at a bigger risk in getting hurt. So, an enemy broke her arm, and the sight wasn't pretty. It was when the two realize being organic is being more vulnerable. This leads to Sentinel although finding her disgusting, a sense of protection towards her. Optimus just realizing all those times Sari was in danger, she could have been greatly injured.

Blackarachnia is desensitize to violence and death, so when something traumatic happens, Optimus and Sentinel look mortified but Blackarachnia casually states, "Well that happened".

Blackarachnia often bullies Sentinel by poking him or licking her finger and trying to smear it on his frame which Sentinel gets pissed off and Optimus has to tell both to stop fighting

If Optimus would ever get captured by an enemy, Sentinel and Blackarachnia would put aside their resentment and get along to rescue Optimus

Blackarachnia accidentally finding that Sentinel has kept stuff from Optimus and Elita One in Steelhaven which changes her feelings towards Sentinel and doesn't how to tell Optimus about this discovery

Sentinel would gloat towards himself as Optimus is choosing to be polite, but Blackarachnia would groan in annoyance

Something that Blackarachnia appreciates about Sentinel is that she can act however she wants because she often feels that she must not fail Optimus, but Sentinel doesn't have any expectations towards her, so it's liberating in some way

Blackarachnia would be shocked that Sentinel has become a clean freak and a strict rule follower because he was the opposite in the Academy and is still shocked that Optimus didn't become worse like Sentinel considering that Optimus took the fall

Optimus and Sentinel covering Blackarachnia in warm clothing since she can get sick in freezing days which she angrily grumbles. Sentinel once read about Christmas and gave her an ugly sweater as a gift to tease her which he took a picture of her having an embarrassed look, but Optimus thought she looked adorable in it

Optimus always telling others that Blackarachnia and Sentinel have good sparks as the two are causing chaos in the background

Optimus would sometimes hug the two but Sentinel and Blackarachnia would feel awkward and immediately look away if they caught eye contact with each other

Blackarachnia would feel more conscious of Optimus feelings which Sentinel lacks but makes sure to slap Sentinel some sense into him

Blackarachnia gets excited when she's offered the chance to create stuff that can help the team and genuinely gets happy when Optimus and even Sentinel praised her work

Blackarachnia has secretly wanted Optimus and Sentinel to kiss when she doesn't put attention to whatever they're arguing about and has hold back on the impulsive thought to push their helms together

The trio spending some time together by watching a human film as Sentinel complains and Blackarachnia explains media literacy to him with a content a Optimus being grateful for this moment

I can imagine back at academy since I figured Optimus was studious while Elita was a scientist (cause Blackarachnia does create and does experiments, not to mention, her power is to copy) and Sentinel is a jock, so basically he's the least one being interested in academics.

I imagine Optimus and Elita would talk about a complex topic mix of math and history and it would drive Sentinel mad because he wouldn't understand what they're talking about. But Sentinel not wanting to be left out pretended to be smart enough to understand. But it would backfired because he would share a comment which he thought it was smart but Optimus and Elita would look at him weird.

It depends, Optimus would rather not correct Sentinel and just say, "Yeah, it's something like that"

But Elita wouldn't have filter and say something slightly mean, "Primus, Sentinel that's some high level IQ what you just said" and give a teasing smile which the plowmech gets annoyed cause he definitely understands Elita's sarcasm

He does get really frustrated when the two talk hours and hours of academic topics, so he would either start training, play video games, or tried to change the topic like giving some juicy gossip

Sentinel: I'm not all brawn and no brains, you know!

Optimus: We're not saying that, we think you are smart, right Elita?
