Even if we do not know how Thomas came to have the necklace, maybe it'd be a good idea to give it to its rightful owner, hm?~CS
The horse’s high whinnies pierce the air in protest as Dee pulls back the reins of the wagon, quickly bringing the wagon to a standstill.
Thomas is staring dumbly at the necklace in his hand as Dee throws down the reins with a great amount of force. It is only Patton speaking to him that break him out of his frozen state.
“Thomas... why do you have my necklace?”
Thomas looks up at Patton’s confused expression and begins to say, “I have no ide-” before Dee roughly pulls Thomas to his feet, right eye glowing bright yellow and the left a muddy orange that’s mostly yellow.
Patton and Logan exclaim in surprise as Dee does so.
“Dee, I’m sure Thomas as a logical explanation for...”
Dee interrupts them with a low growl, sounding almost animal-like.
“Thomas, give Patton his necklace back, NOW!”
Thomas is wide-eyed as he looks into Dee’s furious eyes, face full of a mix of surprise and fear. He tries to speak, but is again cut off by Dee.
“If you didn’t take it, how the fuck do you have it then?!”
It’s then that both Dee and Thomas are startled as they are pushed apart by a firm grip from Patton, Logan gently helping separate Dee from his grip on Thomas.
Patton frowns, a first for Thomas.
“Dee, I’m very disappointed in you! He was going to give it back before you did that!”
Patton crosses his arms, Logan gently pulls at Dee’s arm to make Dee look at him.
“Dee, there’s no need to use violence in this situation. I’m sure Thomas has a perfectly reasonable explanation for why he has Patton’s necklace. It is not logical to judge a situation without getting his side of the story.”
Logan turns to Thomas with a neutral but patient-looking expression, asking, “Do you know how you came to be in possession of Patton’s necklace?”
Thomas, who had been grateful for the assistance in getting Dee away from him in the threatening sense and had been trying to regulate his breathing for the second time in 24 hours, turned to them and said with the most conviction he could muster:
“I don’t know why or how I got Patton’s necklace.”
Everyone one is silent, Dee’s eyes seeming to study Thomas’s features intently.
You see a muted surprise before Dee turns roughly back towards the front of the wagon saying, “Let’s just hope it doesn’t ‘appear’ on you again. I’m going on.”
Dee then silently gets back in the driver seat and flicks the reins, causing everyone standing up to nearly stumble. Thomas, more stunned than Patton or Logan, numbly gives Patton his necklace, wondering what the heck just happened.
Um.... da fuck? That was... somewhat anti climactic...
