Another random ghosts and guns moment.
Julie wasn’t sure what woke her up, but she couldn’t shake the feeling that something wasn’t right. Automatically her hand reached towards the other side of the bed. It was cold, as it had been for the last 5 days. Luke and Alex were gone on a mission. Trevor had insisted seemingly convinced that a field op would help the two of them smooth out their few remaining hiccups. Luke had been upbeat, obviously hoping the same thing, but Alex had seemed more resigned. She was honestly praying it didn’t make things worse. They weren’t late yet, but it was certainly taking on the longer end of the estimate to complete. Please don’t let that be a bad sign.
the plan: finish up those last few WIPs and then start working on your original novel finally!
my brain: or we could start three new fics in this dead fandom instead
Yesterday my parents told me that Oregon increased the tobacco age limit from 18 to 21. And I panicked for like 10 seconds about how I was going to buy cigarettes now. Which is funny because:
A. I quit smoking ten years ago.
B. I’m 43.
Because what my brain needs right now is a THIRD story.
“Thing? What makes you think I have a thing?” He busies himself with his notes, not looking up from the paper. Not that he has any idea what he's reading.
“Everyone has a thing.” Cisco pushes one foot against the floor, putting his chair into a slow spin that ends with him facing Harry. “You were married. You have a kid. That doesn't prove celibacy isn’t your thing, but I'm guessing it's not. And I just can't picture you as a lights out, missionary position kind of guy.”
Today I got the official offer for the job that I left my well-paid career and did 3 incredibly stressful years of grad school to get. Now to stave off the imposter syndrome with bourbon...
Sometimes I am suddenly sad because I remember that I will never get to see Harry, Ron and Ginny play in a real quidditch match together.
I’m revising the detention scene, as I said I would. Now, I know that as a general rule inspiration is stronger at night, but I really wish so was our attention when writing. Because I just spotted a sentence where I intended to write “stationary” but wrote “stationery” instead. I assure you that was a weird as hell sentence.
