The last 2/3 years this boy was so ill ... with a doctor telling us it was in his head .. . Charlie was in pain and could nt eat following a awful gastric virus. . The consultant told me he believed it was in Charlie’s head .. which i knew it was nt .. . The consultant and I did not get on. . He insisted that Charlie saw a psychologist.. . And told me if she thought Charlie was doing this to himself he was keeping him in hospital as long as he thought he needed it .. months even! . . Psychologist had a conversation with Charlie .. . Phoned the consultant and said there is nothing wrong with this boy mentally .. he’s not depressed he’s not starving himself - this boy is ill help him! . . And finally we got some help .. but it was nt the best help .. best intentions but just not that helpful . . Since then we have adjusted his diet .. he’s been doing lots of walking and exercises .. a year ago he could barely walk 200 yards without sitting down .. today he can walk home from college which is around 3 miles up and down hills. You might not think that’s much .. but when he was lying in a hospital bed a year ago .. I feared I was going to watch him fade away before my eyes without no help for him. . . So if you say oh I can’t do this and I can’t do that .. excuses excuses .. . . This boy made no excuses .. he forced himself to take another step .. to get up and feed the chickens .. to walk to the shop even if it took him an hour with multiple stops and rests sitting on benches and sitting on the floor .. . . If he can do it .. so can you !! . . Charlie still has a ways to go .. he’s starting the gaps diet tomorrow to hopefully clear out anymore bad cells in his gut - and gastric area .. and that should hopefully finally take care of the pain he lives with daily. . .
