It's funny how HotD's attempts to make Aegon a pathetic lil loser sort of backfire. Make him greasy and ugly? Sorry, Tom's too beautiful, it negates it. Make him an incompetent dragon rider who can't speak High Valyrian fluently? His bond with Sunfyre is so strong they don't even need words. Girl.

It's so sad how Aegon said, "the sanctity of my family". Sanctity is quite a heavy and specific word, it means holy, saintly, sacred. He does see them as the only pure thing in his life.

I just love how they smile at their kids and they look kind of similar when they do it. Like they’re so happy they can’t contain it. It’s like pure love is spilling right out of them do you know what I mean?

rhaena x aemond hc's that make me cry

Rhaena and Aemond being close friends during their childhood. Both having no dragons, yet trying to learn everything they could about them and Targaryen history, being the best in High Valyrian and even better at it than than the dragon-riders.

Rhaena and Aemond being overachievers in other aspects of their lives, but it will never be enough because they haven't yet claimed their own dragons. Aemond tries to excel in his studies and his training. Rhaena is amiable, studious, graceful, tries to be good in languages and arts.

Rhaena comforting Aemond during the moments he gets bullied by the boys for having no dragon, and Aemond only listens to her and feels that she fully understands him as she was in the same situation. Both of them Targaryen royals yet with no dragons and being judged for it.

Aemond also doing the same for her, when Rhaena is being compared to her sister, father, and mother for being exceptional dragonriders yet she remains without one.

They have a falling out after Aemond claims her mother's dragon and gets his eye cut out by Lucerys. They both know that their friendship will never be the same again, and they will forever be antagonistic with Rhaena supporting the Blacks and Aemond as the most feared among the Greens.

Rhaena watching her old friend becoming more blood-thirsty, and ruthless. Rhaena feeling absolute grief that Aemond commands her mother's dragon to burn and destroy. I really want a scene between them with these words from Shogun: "The boy who did everything right, with anger growing in his chest. All he seeks is destruction." Rhaena tells him, when they meet again and Aemond had laid waste to the Riverlands. She believes there might still be hope for him, even if he himself doesn't believe so.

Comparing HotD with "bad fanfiction" is a disservice to fanfiction. Those fanfics we call bad, is mostly a beginning writer still learning to write and has love for the canon story to write about it. And its the effort of someone sitting alone writing. I think even the most beginner fanfic writer among us wouldn't come up with the cringe Alicole scene right after B&C.

HotD has the budget and the huge production, but still fumbled. HotD seems to insult the source material at every turn since the writers and showrunners think they know better than the writer himself, to change the story and characters to cater to whatever political agenda they have. It just missed.

Once again, I am searching for crumbs. She's wearing a golden crown that kind of looks like rays of the sun.

We know how colors/symbols are important in the visuals, they signify your alliances and 'family' and I feel like this was a deliberate choice.

Also, all these scenes with Alicent, Larys, Aemond with Aegon, but none with his wife? They couldn't give us even Helaena standing beside him or just watching him for the love of god??
