As a beginner, I am going to be trying out weight lifting to have a mix with running..

5 minutes warm up quick walk and jog

Dumb bells bicep curls X10

Forward Lunges with weight X10

Dumb bell triceps extension X10

Backward Lunges with weight X10

Bar bell with squats X15 

Plank 30 seconds

Strength To Overcome Sin

"Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:28-31

"So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature."Galatians 5:16

As teenagers, we are young and our bodies are healthy. We don't like thinking about the time when our bodies will ache and waste away. We are young, and we like feeling young. We carry the heavy things (if we're not too lazy), we run ahead of others, we play sports, we can walk further than our grandparents.

Physically we are strong, but we are not strong enough to overcome sin by ourselves. It's impossible. Try to overcome sin on your own: It won't work. So often we drift into self-dependence and pride and think gluttony will be an easy thing to overcome by our own will power. Then what happens? We fall back into gluttony and laziness, we gain weight.

Then God humbles us and we turn from our own strength and look to God for the power to overcome sin. When we walk by the Spirit, what happens? We overcome temptation, we start losing weight, we enjoy exercise. And as we keep depending on God, He will renew our strength and make us ride on wings like eagles. We will not grow tired and weary of overcoming gluttony when we depend on God's power. We will soar on wings like eagle's in God's path when we walk by His Spirit. May we depend on Christ today.

Losing weight, keeping fit

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Isa 40: 29

Sometimes, I just feel tired of the whole bad habit breaking because the flesh continually wrestles with spirit...and I just want to satisfy the flesh and just don't want to exercise. I just want to eat and sleep. But God has promised to see me through. When I am weary, He will strengthen me and when I am weak, He will give me power and for this I am grateful. I don't want to ever forget His promises!

C25k newbie

Got to tell ya, I have started C25K and I am loving it! No rush, no going crazy, no competition, just me and me running. It can only get better. Come 8 weeks and I will be training for 10k by God's grace. Amen.

And eating habits, getting a lot better! who says bad habit cannot be broken. Jesus Christ has set me free from bad eating habits.
