 Time went by. He couldn’t say if it was a couple of days or a couple of weeks and honestly, he didn’t care. It wasn’t as if he was ever leaving. He’d managed to plant a haphazard garden and even grow something with green leaves, though he was in no way sure what it was. He’d attempted to carve things with the knife he was given but hopelessly failed at anything more than a pointy stick. Then again, it had come in handy for roasting the one rabbi he had managed to shoot. A nice change from his toad diet. He’d considered using the gun for another purpose but some dark recess of his mind was nosy how this was all going to play out. But time was still the worst part, who knew it was so boring to leave in peace without having to watch your back? There was nothing here except playing tic-tac-toe in the sand against himself, fishing, gardening. And to think some men actually found fishing fun…
