Summary- You were the princess of your house, your father being one of the most powerful businessmen and the mafia. One fine day you get kidnapped only to find that the rival mafia has kidnapped you only to tease your father, because they were best friends. Soon you find out that you were betrothed to his son. Who is one of the most arrogant yet dangerous beings. He had a bad boy reputation, a walking red flag, As the story unfolds it shows how things turn out for you and him.
Chapter 1
You were at the amusement park with your friend Irene. You loved photography, you were clicking pictures for the amusement park. While clicking you saw your arch enemy from College Park jihyo, you were seeing her after 8 years. You rolled your eyes and as you were moving forward she called your name. "Y/n and Irene...long time..." You turned around and said "hey..jihyo..I am in the middle of something..... really gotta go..." You replied. But she was adamant "come one...let's grab coffee". Eventually you all went to the food court and got yourselves coffee. While you were looking at your cam pictures she spoke "so y/n....what are you doing these days?" You replied with one word "photography.." hearing this she replied "I'll soon be marrying my boyfriend Seungcheol" hearing this you nodded. You knew Seungcheol as jihyo's boyfriend but you have never seen him or you can say that you never really noticed him. He was called the handsome boytoy jihyo had since college. As per rumors she has cheated on him multiple times ,even you once saw it live when jihyo was making out with your friend Hoshi. "Irene...I hear you're going to get married this month??" She asked. Irene answered with Yes. "so am I not invited?" She asked. To which Irene replied "well.... actually this Friday, why dont you come? " Irene replied Hearing this Jihyo replied "Sure, I'll be there." Soon you guys were finally free from jihyo.
As you were about to reach home home someone covered your face with black cloth and pulled you in a car. You tried really hard but in vain. You woke up and saw a beautiful room. You looked around and asked "where am I ??" You saw a lady in her late 40s who replied "hi madam y/n this the Choi's resident" you look at her and asked another question "why I am here?" . hearing this she replied "Mr. Choi is on the way, you'll get your answers." she said and left the room. after a good 10 minutes the door of your door swung open and there stood an old man "Hi, y/f/l/n, its been years.... i assume you dont remember me" the oldman said. however you did not understand anything. "allow me to introduce, I am Mr. Choi... your father's really old and childhood friend." he said. hearing this you replied "If you were my father's friend then why would you kidnap me ? It doesnt make sense." hearing your answer he laughed and showed his and your father's pictures along with your mother and his wife. "dont worry love, it is just a prank on your father, just to give him a little gift that his best friend is back in town and this time forever." he said. you nodded. On the same afternoon your father's men broke into the house along with your father. he saw you having tea with Mr. Choi as you were telling him about your love for photography. they met each other and spent some time together and your dad invited Mr. Choi and his family for Dinner on Sunday.
You reached home and called Irene and told her that everything is okay. The next day you were at your home trying on the dress for her wedding day. you were the Maid of honor, the dress was in Sage Green color body hugging you thought of leaving your hair lose. You were also working for on your speech. Finally the day came, you were all ready and beautiful and reached Irene's home where she got her dress and make up done. It was the first look of the bride. You walked in and the moment you saw Irene dressed in the Wedding dress you got so overwhelmed that you weren't able to hold your tears. She smiled looking at you and wiped your tears "hey.... you're going to ruin your make up.." she said. hearing your laughed and hugged her. "Good gracious you look beautiful" you answered. While you stood near the bride you saw Jihyo enter with a guy you assumed it was Seungcheol. The ceremony took place and everyone clicked picture and finally it was your turn for your speech. As you stood up on the podium you threw a flying kiss to Irene and started. "So Hello everyone, first of thank you so much for attending this joyous occasion of my best friend's wedding. I am Y/n the Maid Of honor, to tell you honestly i actually prepared a very systematic and a well coordinated speech but honestly when i walked in and saw Irene in that Dress, i ditched it, I cant, i really cant. I first met Irene in elementary school, when a guy was pulling her hair i was her rescuer, then slowly we became friend and started helping each others with homeworks and our weekend plans to study which eventually ended up in snaking and gossiping. They say the connection fades as we grow up, I think in our case it became strong, we definitely fought a lot but at the end of the day, we have been always the bestest test test... friends. So when i got to know about Jun , and this whole marriage thing, I was skeptical, but once I met him, I think i found a bit of confidence that this guy can take care of my Irene. The day he went out with us all day long.... for shopping, this guy didnt even complaint or cribbed and thats when i knew , Jun is the one for Irene. I never really thought that after being a best friend i'll be the maid of honor. Jun a request for you, She is stubborn, shopaholic but she has a very soft and kind heart. please promise to take care of it. and at the end..." you paused as you lifted the glass of champagne "To Irene and Jun" you wrapped the speech everyone clapped and Irene wiped her tears. Everyone joined the floor and danced. you just stood there sipped Champagne. Soon your father and Mr. Choi Approached you . You greeted them "Lovely Speech Y/N " Mr. Choi Complimented you. You thanked him with a smile. "So I was thinking to throw a party this Sunday, not a huge one just a small gathering with close friends and family. what do you say Y/N?" Asked your father. hearing this you replied "Sure... good Idea". "do you have any boyfriend or so? why dont you call him?" said Mr. Choi "umm.. I just have friends, no boyfriend... I am single.." you answered. hearing this both of them smiled weirdly. Soon the ceremony came to an end, you were in the washroom fixing your hair that's when Jihyo entered "hey...nice speech" she said. You nodded and as you were about to walk out she spoke again "do you mind giving me your number?" You looked at her and asked why.. she replied "soon I'll be getting married, I would surely want you to attend my wedding". You smiled and said " when the time will be right...maybe you'll find me". You walked out of the washroom. As you walked out you were searching for something in your clutch, you weren't looking ahead and bumped onto someone and your clutch fell and all your things shattered. The guy ahead said "I am so sorry, I was waiting for my girlfriend" to which you replied "it's fine...." You picked up all the things and walked away.
You went and sat beside Irene "where is your ear ring?" She asked. You replied "I'll put them on wait...." You searched in your clutch and you were able to find just one ear ring. "I only have 1...I think I lost the other one..". After this the whole ceremony happened smoothly. They left for their honeymoon.
Soon it was the weekend and your mom told you to get ready for the get together. You wore a simple black dress but your father told you to change and gave you a very beautiful dress. Looking at the dress you asked "dad...this dress doesn't really go with the party theme....it's just a get together and this dress seems for a better occasion...." Hearing this your father laughed and said "oh princess trust me this is a better occasion....go change". You had nothing to argue hence you changed into the dress and fixed your hair and make up. Soon you walked down...the party was at your home in the garden. As you walked in you saw your family and Mr.Choi as you went there and greeted them Mrs. Choi complimented you. "God!! Y/n you have grown up to so beautiful.." hearing this you replied "says who....." You guys were chit chatting when your father introduced "y/n this Seungcheol...I hear he went to the same college as yours...do you know him??" He asked. "I am so sorry...." You said and greeted Seungcheol. He was indeed handsome. He smiled and said hi. Soon you and Hoshi walked in and took you aside. "I think they are match making..." He whispered. You looked at him and asked "really??? With whom??". "Obviously Seungcheol....I may have overheard our dads, they were talking about someone being betrothed.." hearing this you rolled your eyes and said "it could be anyone...how about your sister?? Or Nabi?? Or maybe you!!!!" He laughed at your guess and said "what will you do if we had to get married?" Hoshi asked. Hearing this you hit him and tell him nonchalantly "probably I'll jump from the building twice.." hearing this looked at you and said "why twice??" To which you replied "just to make sure I don't survive at all!" He looked at you with his wide eyes as you walked near the bar. You ordered a drink for yourself and suddenly you heard your father calling you and Seungcheol in the mic. You walked there and stood beside your family. As your father spoke "so my dearest family and friends, as you know today it is not just a very great party but just a get together with my close friends and family to give you the good news that my very best friend Mr. Choi is back in town and this time it is permanent.." hearing this everyone clapped and father spoke again "but there is one more reason for this party... finally the day has come when it's time we upgrade our friendship to family...." You father stopped and Mr. Choi took the mic and spoke "we must tell you that today we are announcing the engagement of my son Seungcheol to my Best friend's dearest daughter y/n....so we are upgraded as in-laws" hearing this the crowd clapped and you looked shocked. "There is one more piece of information, Seungcheol and y/n have been betrothed since they were born.....they are meant to be.." hearing this everyone applaud. Now your father spoke again "now we have one more surprise...today is your engagement...we even got you the engagement rings...come on let's exchange them..." Hearing this you looked at your dad nervously and then to Seungcheol. Seems like even he was clueless about this whole thing. But anyway you both come forward and exchange the rings. Once it was done you walked down and went to the bar and ordered whiskey on the rocks. You chugged your second drink and that's when you hear Seungcheol "hey...y/n right.." you turn around and nodded and here comes third drink "so.... you're going to say no right?" He asked. You chugged your drink and laughed "oh! Please you need to do it...I can't ..I already said no to a lot of things. This is totally on you...." He laughed and said "stop drinking...you are out of your mind...but anyway...I don't mind marrying you..." You laughed at his statement and answered "neither do I....see you at the altar." You said and walked away.
Next morning you woke up with a headache and hoshi in your room. "Good morning Mrs. Choi..." Hoshi shouted. You touched your head and looked down. "Are you not happy?" Asked hoshi. You look outside the window but you don't say anything. He came from behind and patted your head "its time you let go of the past...you know he would have never wanted you to live alone". "I don't know how hoshi...it still feels like yesterday" you replied. He didn't say anything, he just stood there with you. Soon your mom enters your room "get ready....Your in-laws will be here soon, we are having brunch together and we need to decide on a date..for marriage" she said. "Why?? Don't you feel this is so soon?" You asked. Hearing this your mom sighed and answered "it's been 6 years y/n 6 years....you cannot live alone all your life...your father has been trying to talk to about marriage from past 4 years but you have been denying everything..." You closed your eyes. "Just go and get ready...I know this is soon but one day you'll thank us...and I am 1000% sure that Seungcheol will keep you happy....hoshi come with me now!" saying this she left the room and hoshi followed. You took a shower and changed yourself in casual jeans and top. You walked out and saw your mother and Mrs. Choi. You walked down and greeted them. "Hey y/n...do have anything in your mind?? Dates ??" She asked. To which you replied "I am not sure....mrs.choi what you both suggest" hearing this your mom replied "how about 15th December?" Hearing this Mrs choi smiled and said "even I was thinking of having the wedding in December itself...but in that case we need to start preparing for it" hearing this you nodded. "Well today y/n is free how about we go shopping today?? And check out some venues?" Asked your mother. Hearing this Mrs. Choi got excited and said "of course...even Seungcheol is free.. I'll call him and let's go together " they all smiled. As they were chatting, you ate whatever was on the table. You go to your room and bring your purse. As you walked down you saw Seungcheol who was wearing a white shirt and denim. He looked handsome as always. You walked down and he saw you and said hello and you replied with a nod. You , both the mom and Seungcheol went near his car. As he sat at the driver's seat you sat beside him while both the moms took place at the back. As he drove your mom spoke "it is so great to have Seungcheolie...you have grown up to be a gentleman" hearing this he smiled. As you reached the place your mom went and as you were trying to get down Seungcheol held your hand. "What are you doing?" You asked. Seeing Seungcheol hold your hand made both of your moms got happy as they gestured for us to take our time and in the meanwhile they would look around. "What??" You asked again. "What the hell are you doing??! You seriously want to marry??" He asked. "What the hell is wrong with you?? I already told you I don't have a say or choice in it...it's totally on you" you answered and went out.
The whole day you guys shopped and looked around for venues. Finally a week before your wedding. Irene came back from her honeymoon and tagged along with you and both the moms to shop for the wedding dress. You guys finalize the holter princess cut gown for the wedding. As you were returning Irene told your mom that she is throwing you a bachelor's party and she is taking you to her farm house. You went home and packed your stuff. You were wearing a short blue dress. You saw your friends in the pool while others sat and enjoyed their drinks. You walked towards the front porch and stood there. Irene joins you there and she gives you a side hug. "It's good to see you finally moving forward..." Irene said. You looked at her and started to cry "I don't know....I honestly have no reasons left...I joined my dad's company too." Seeing you like that she hugged you. "I can't forget him...it feels so wrong" you cried. Irene consoled you and said "y/n I know you can't forget him, but what you are doing to yourself from past 6 years is also wrong...let bygones be bygones. Even he wouldn't like how you were living" after a good 10, min you stopped crying and you moved and started drinking. You were finally happy as you were clicking pictures and suddenly Jihyo pops in. "Oh jihyo...I don't remember inviting you!" Said Irene and everyone laughed "I am not here for your little party I need to talk to y/n" jihyo answered. You held your drink and said "sure go ahead.." hearing this she laughed and shouted "how could you do this??? Right after I tell you that I am going to marry Seungcheol and all of a sudden you announce your wedding with my boyfriend?.... you're such a wh..." Before she could finish the sentence Hoshi shouted "watch your mouth....Jihyo...y/n has nothing to do about all these things..." Hearing this she looked at hoshi and said "oh please... doesn't she have a tongue?? Why is she sending her minions?" Hearing this Irene spoke "shut the fuck up...you..." You interrupted Irene and said "see Jihyo...I have zero interest in this marriage because this isn't something I did....I am just following what my family wants....and before blaming me...why don't you go to your so called boyfriend and tell him to cancel it... honestly I have no power. So just go ahead and tell your boyfriend to do something..we are getting married in a week so hurry up" you and walked away.
From your bachelorette party Jihyo went to Seungcheol's Office. He was working with jeonghan and Joshua in his cabin. "Seungcheol.. I want to speak to you!" She shouted. Looking at her jeonghan and Joshua left them alone. "What the hell is going on!? You are marrying y/n ? " She asked. "Yes jihyo...I am getting married to her", he replied calmly. "What about me?" She asked "well..what about you? You are my girlfriend! This marriage is just business we will get divorced in a year or 2...both the families need this partnership for business" he answered calmly and walked near her and hugged her. Soon she was all over him making out and that's when there is a knock on the door. It was jeonghan and Joshua. He walked and sat at his chair and Jihyo followed him and sat on his lap. "We are off.. since the proposal is almost done...the rest we can do it later." Said Joshua. Next day Joshua jeonghan and Seungcheol were talking when Joshua said "you are getting married to y/n and also dating Jihyo...this is a fucked situation" to which Seungcheol smiled and said "I told her to stop this marriage and the reply I got was 'see you at the altar' also she knows I am with Jihyo...in an year or so we'll get divorced....this isn't a marriage but a partnership". Hearing this jeonghan replied "just so you know she joined her father's company and man she is great with computers. She is a techi and a very good one....wonwoo and your wife studied together". Hearing this Seungcheol got curious and spoke to wonwoo who told him that you are a tech genius 10000 times better than him.
Finally it is your wedding day you were getting your make up done. When Irene enters the room and asks if the make up is done. To which the makeup artist replied it is totally and Irene asks for a few minutes alone. "What is it!?" You asked. "Y/n you seriously ready for this wedding??" She asked you. Hearing this you replied "yes...I don't really have a choice". "Seungcheol your soon to be husband is still with Jihyo...and me and jun were out for brunch and that's when I saw Jihyo all over him." She said. You smirked and said "that's good...it will be easier to get divorced...this is not something I want but this is something our company and family needs. A year or two and then divorce". Hearing your answer Irene held her hair in frustration "are you really sure... because this is not something you would want to get into..." Irene said. "I know..I have no feelings for him... So just stop and let's get it done" you said and called the people to help with your dress. After a good amount of time you finally got ready. You walked down the aisle with your father as everyone clapped. You looked at Seungcheol he was handsome and somewhat starstruck. At a distance Seungcheol saw you walk in the magnificent wedding gown smiling with your father, it bothered him a bit when you didn't even spare him a glance. He wasn't able to take his eyes off you. But you on the other hand didn't even look at him or even a subtle head tilt. Your father gives your hand to Seungcheol and says "she is my darling daughter...I am requesting you not to hurt her ever, if you ever feel that you don't like or love her...just return her to me...she is my princess." Hearing Seungcheol smiled and said "sir I promise to take care of her". Hearing your father speak you shed a tear. But Seungcheol was quick to hold your hand and console you. You just nodded and still refused to look at him. The ceremony started and the vows were exchanged. The priest announced you as husband and wife. Finally the time came which you hated the most. The priest finally says "you may kiss the bride". Everyone applauded and he walked forward and removed your veil and touched your chin and instead of looking at him you closed your eyes and finally came forward and connected his lips to yours. The kiss lasted for a few seconds. The kiss was not deep but a sweet one. You heard everyone applaud and shout.
