Seventeen as types of freshers

Okay, firstly I would like to say on behalf of myself and Mrs Kim, we are sorry for not posting properly beyond reblogs for a long time. Life has been very busy.

Secondly, in honour of the fact that I (Admin Sunny) am leaving for university on Saturday I thought it would be fun to make a similarly themed “Seventeen as” post. Enjoy :)

Seungcheol/S.Coups: Go big or go home fresher, goes on every night out, still seems to survive, joins gym, posts many muscle pics at the gym, probably that guy you meet shirtless in the kitchen at 4am.

Jeonghan: Completely changes, dyes hair bright colours and grows it out, hipster, attends vintage clothing fairs, probably takes art and drinks wine with flatmates as someone braids his hair.

Jisoo/Joshua: Tee-total fresher, remembers flatmates tea orders, joins all the charity fundraising groups and Christian society, will want to learn about becoming a student rep, probably volunteer in his gap year.

Junhui/Jun: Probably trying to lose his virginity in freshers, really shy when not clubbing, spent all his student loan in freshers buying drinks for others, relies on flatmates to feed him because he can’t afford to eat, put a red sock in a white wash.

Soonyoung/Hoshi: Massive fan of fancy dress events, probably came with beach accessories and face paint, had to call maintenance because he lost his room key on the first night, sets of the fire alarm off at 3am.

Wonwoo: Keeps to himself, probably didn’t realise he even lived in your flat until about the third week, borrowed out all the books on his mandatory reading list from the library on the first day, takes a kettle and duvet to the library.

Jihoon/Woozi: Made sure he didn’t over pack, has organised lists, got an unconditional offer, passes out in pre drinks and gets left at the flat with moustache and glasses drawn on his face.

Seokmin/DK: Signs up for every society, really smiley, adds everyone on facebook, has t-shirts for every freshers events, willing to give everything a shot, has a youtube channel where he vlogs about freshers.

Mingyu: Seems lazy until the first meal, cooks for everyone and cleans up afterwards, probably brought his own screwdriver and does maintenance for himself and the rest of the flat, always takes group selfies, goes shopping in PJs.

Minghao/The8: Trying to shake of the ‘cute’ teenager image, wants to become a ‘man’, joins the gym, joins a martial arts society, has a relationship in his first year of uni.

Seungkwan: That musical theatre kid, has posters of his musical theatre idols on his noticeboard, gets really passionate when drunk, probably the best person to have a night out with, life of the flat.

Hansol/Vernon: Came to university in a relationship, just got facebook, dressed nice for the first day and then gave up, sleeps when not completing assignments and orders pizza all the time.

Chan/Dino: Literally just turned 18 so wants to do everything he can now do legally, got a really bad case of freshers flu, laughs a lot when drunk, really fun at predrinks.

did u just say angst *sigh* a jihoon/coups/hoshi angst scenario u choose who bc i cant;; where the SO is someone supportive and always wants to know and hear about the members worries and struggles and help them but never tells abt her own problems/feelings which affects the relationship and they get into an argument. the SO is going through a hard time so she kinda blows up and yea pls make the ending calm not too fluffy since its angst idk ily btw

You’re tired. You’ve got enough going on in your life right now, but you can’t be selfish. The others have it way worse. You try your best to support them and listen well while not bursting out to complain. You don’t even think they know of your own problems. Which is good. You don’t want to bother them.

Seungcheol might be the most oblivious. Somehow. You spend most of your time together, so you must be incredible at hiding your feelings. You’ve provided advice for him and given him kisses to make it better countless times. Never once has he talked to you about your issues. Not that you hold it against. You always seem happy. You wonder how much more you can take.

Right now, you’re laying back on Seungcheol’s bed. Elevated from the ground, you stare at the ceiling. The bunk beds are a cute touch. This has become a nice place for you to think alone. It’s the only time you have to assess your own life.

All of it hits you. All at once. You can feel tears welling up in your eyes, just as your boyfriend and his roommate burst into the room with laughter. You poke at the creases of your eyes to stop the water and sit up, plastering on a smile. Using the bottom bunk as a step, he goes up for a brief kiss from you before going back down. He says goodbye to his friend then joins you on his bed. Not holding anything back, you throw yourself toward Seungcheol, to which he immediately responds to by wrapping his arms around you.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa, what’s wrong?” You don’t reply. Instead, you use his T-shirt as a dam for your tears. He doesn’t question you further. You work on steadying your breathing. He rubs your back and waits patiently. It takes a while before you’re able to face him again.

“I’m sorry, it’s, uh… It’s really nothing.” His face twists with confusion and doubt.

“Are you sure? Because it sure seems like something.” You shake your head. You don’t want to bother him.

“Don’t worry. I’m fine.” He knows you’re lying. You go to wipe your eyes, but he takes your hands in his.

“Tell me. You never seem upset by anything, which is impossible. I’m here to hear about your problems too.” You shake your head more.

“Seungcheol, you’re the sweetest, but I would just feel like a nuisance.” He pulls his hands back and exhales. You can tell he’s getting impatient.

“You know, you’re not going to bug me. We’re in a mutual, loving relationship for a reason.”

“Are you getting mad at me? For having personal problems?”

“No, I’m getting mad that you don’t trust me.”

“Don't– What? Of course I trust you, I just don’t want to be annoying!”

“Don’t start yelling!” he yells back, ironically. “You’re not going to annoy me, just tell me what’s wrong!”

You start crying again. You fall back on his bed and hide your face with your hands. Seungcheol instantly lay next to you, repeating “no” over and over. You let out a few sobs as he pulls you into a hug.

“God, I’m so sorry, I’m the worst. I don’t want to make you cry. I don’t want to make you feel worse.” You can’t reply, but you don’t like that you made him feel bad. Although, you don’t want to add to the tension right now. You keep these thoughts to yourself right now.

"I think I'm forgetting something" + Joshua ty

“I think I’m forgetting something.” You look at all of the bags around him. How could he have forgotten something? You had spent hours together packing every little last thing. Sure, with two months worth of things to survive a visit with you, it’d be easy to forget something little. Plus, you’re already at the airport. His flight leaves in thirty minutes. But hopefully, it isn’t anything too important.

“What? How? We packed everything, what could you possibly be–” As if you should’ve seen it coming from a mile away, he drops his bags, cups your cheeks, and kisses you sweetly. You tune out the rush of the people around you and the announcements over the intercom to focus on Jisoo alone. Unfortunately, this supposed caring gesture makes you emotional all over again. As soon as you detach, you engulf each other in a hug.

“Don’t cry again.” He speaks softly and strokes your hair.

“No promises.”

s.coups: BOY he’d get jealous real quick. he’d run over to you, pull you in tightly with an arm around his shoulder and say, “hey sweetie, who’s this???” then you’d be like chill this is my brother….. and he’d be like “..oh”

woozi: he’d be a little more chill, but with that lowkey jealousy that you can notice if you know him, relaxes and says “OH okay” when you introduce him to your brother

hoshi: also gets really jealous, swoops in the second you break the hug, like literally pushes you out of the way to introduce him as “y/n’s boyfriend,” then ya brother introduces himself as “y/n’s brother,” then hoshi kinda just looks at him before running away

Joshua: he literally wouldn’t even care, he’s so laid back. he’d just watch from afar and shrug off what his friends were saying. he’d be interested to see who you’re hugging though.

DK: also just swoops in like “hello who are you.” seriously, he just kinda. stands in front of you. hovers over your brother. he’s intimidated. you pull DK away and say, “sorry BRO my boyfriend is a freak,” then DK looks something between offended and embarrassed.

seungkwan: add him to the list of “those who overreact.” honestly, he interrupts the conversation, kisses you (making your brother uncomfortable), and “politely” asks for this man to be introduced. lightens up a little after finding out he’s ya bro

jeonghan: very calm, doesn’t worry at all. thinks he’s just a friend of yours. actually gets really nervous upon hearing that he’s your brother and tries to make a good impression.

wonwoo: watches from a distance with a little bit a jealousy. passive-aggressively asks who he was later, then apologizes after you tell him he’s your brother.

Vernon: gets jealous but pretends like he’s not. walks up to you, puts an arm around your shoulder, and looks your brother up and down. lowkey thinks you’re lying about him being your brother at first.

mingyu: glares from a distance and gets all jealous. gives you the cold shoulder for a while until u call him out. then you’re like “baby wtf that was my brother???” and u show him a picture for proof. then he’s like shit.

the8: gets jealous but the lowkey jealous. tries to casually intervene so that you don’t notice he’s upset. slyly holds your hand. you say that this is your brother and as soon as you leave he starts apologizing and you’re like ????

Dino: he would just glare angrily, which makes your brother laugh. he’d keep an arm around your waist protectively and speak bitterly until you introduced your brother as your brother. then he’d just blush and apologize.

jun: honestly he’d probably run up and give you a huge kiss right in front of your bro, which would make him gag. “so i’m guessing this is your boyfriend?” jun would hold you tightly and not back down that much even after finding out that he’s your brother.

s.coups: gets really scared, puts you in a tight hug, and asks you whats wrong. isnt bothered by you getting his shirt wet. listens well and provides advice.

woozi: gets surprised, seems like he doesn’t care but actually supports you anyway. gives you hugs and texts you when he leaves.

Hoshi: SCREAMS, runs to hug you, makes you laugh, lets you vent everything, kisses tears away

Vernon: asks you what’s wrong right away, holds you close, plays with your hair, doesn’t leave until he has to or until you stop crying

seungkwan: also screams, almost cartwheels toward you but deems it as the wrong time. kisses ya forehead, lets you sit his lap, gives advice

the8: FREAKS out, rushes to your side, and doesn’t even asks whats wrong at first, just sits there and lets you cry on his shoulder. lets you vent and listens really well.

wonwoo: doesnt react in a way that you notice, but goes to sit next to you. rubs your back and asks you whats wrong. doesnt interrupt when you start talking about your problems.

Joshua: internal screaming, rushes to your side and hugs you, offers to find a good movie, good food, and a shoulder to cry on. spends all night talking about it.

Dino: sort just stares at you in shock, lowkey starts crying a little himself, hugs you and rocks you back and forth. holds your face in his hands and lets you talk.

mingyu: gasps loudly, asks you what’s wrong, lets you cry as much as you want, ignores everything else for you until you’re better

jeonghan: is very calm but still very concerned. rubs your back while you talk. doesn’t say much besides “i’m sorry.” hugs you for a long time.

jun: starts talking hurriedly in mandarin, holds you tightly, sways you and pets your hair, shushes you and tells you it’s going to be okay before even asking you why you’re crying.

DK: ALSO SCREAMS, rushes to your side, hugs you then kisses your forehead, asks what’s wrong and listens to you talk. then tries whatever he can to make you feel better.
